I have to lay down hearing taylor say the f word good bye between this and Hayley idk how I’m reasonably expected to focus on work
I saw Taylor on her first run-through of the 1989 tour in Vegas at the Rock In Rio festival. There's a part of the show where she was strapped in a catwalk kinda thing that hovers over the crowd. She was supposed to be up there for just an acoustic song or two, but she ended up getting stuck in it. She said "fuck!" and laughed because multiple stage people were trying to help her take the strap off, and it was actually really nice seeing Taylor go off-script for a little bit.
she got stuck in her birdcage during the philly show for reputation tour, but we didn't get any profanities. we did get her singing an a capella version of our song, though, which was cool
Around here in SLC, only the Sundance-related theaters are playing it, I believe. But I don't want to pay $25 to see it so I'm just going to watch it on Netflix. Unless I find someone selling tickets for cheap.
Tickets to the premiere were sold out before the Locals Only tickets even went on sale (which is before the general presale) so I was bummed I missed out on tickets... When Sundance tickets are sold out, you can still get a spot in the “wait list” line. Basically, if a movie is sold out, you can wait in this line and if they need to fill seats, they’ll grab as many people as there are seats available. It’s definitely a risky move because you may not get in at all. I thought about hanging out in the wait list, but I thought there’d be no way there’d be any extra seats. So I skipped out on it. But yesterday (the day after the premiere) I found out that Sundance reserved way too many seats so everyone who was in the waitlist ended up getting in. For free. To see the documentary. For free. And Taylor. For free. In the flesh. For free.
IDK how I’m supposed to do any work or be a functional human weekend knowing this documentary is coming out on Friday
Tomorrow, my wife and a couple of our lady friends are getting together to do face masks and watch this doc, haha.
