Dear John is another one I had to leave off bc I think it’s just in its own league. I just love Taylor so much. Such a great turnaround for me this decade to fall in love with her.
I strategically put All Too Well at 13 and only did a top 13. There’s plenty about my feelings toward that song. The top three will be solid. Our Song was two because she has said numerous times it was her first song. And well Death By a Thousand cuts is just on another level right now. Really hope the crowd goes crazy for it next summer.
Speak Now doesn’t have a ton of songs I find myself going back to. Fearless does though. I can’t even remember the last time I listened to Speak Now in full.
Fearless is more consistent, but Speak Now has higher highs and is overall the better, more interesting album.
I have such unintentional nostalgia for You Belong With Me. The summer that it came out I think I was in 9th/10th grade? And my house was like the place to crash all the time and everyone would always pass out with mtv or whatever the channel was that would play music videos all night. And that summer they played the same fucking four music videos on what felt like repeat. TSwift - You Belong With Me BMTH - Diamonds Aren’t Forever Owl City - Fireflies Shakira - She-Wolf These songs/videos are burned into my brain and whether I like them or not I’m very fond of the memories they bring lol. Sorry for the random anecdote. Just thought about that cuz Fearless was brought up.
