That doormat would be so great for parties where I inevitably drink more than 2 glasses of wine and haul out my Taylor Swift Conspiracies PowerPoint.

 

Really can't justify spending $55 on a doormat that only my boyfriend and landlords will see but I really want it!! I did send my mom a link to one of the hoodies for Christmas tho lol

 

I would get that doormat, but I don't think my roommate would be thrilled (I don't think she has anything against Taylor, but she's also not really a fan).

no album of the year nod considering the other nominees is pretty wild

 

It's the most bizarre set of Grammy nominations I think I've ever seen.

 

i legit was flabbergasted in every category I looked at.

but I’m stoked af for Lizzo

 

I'd be pretty proud of Billie Eilish if she wins. That's a huge feat for anyone, but especially someone as young as she is, and especially since the majority of it was recorded in her brother's bedroom, I believe. I'd also accept it if Lizzo won. Those are the only 2 I'd like to see win, I think.

 

Same. The country categories were weird too.

First year in awhile where I really have no idea what will win Album of the Year.

 

I’m ok that Lover didn’t get nominated for AOTY. Hoping she really steps it up with her next release.

 

I feel like Lana could take that, but it would be cooler if it were Lizzie or Billie.

 

I really hope it's Lana, but I also think that Billie kind of deserves it just because it seems like the kind of album that really will push pop music forward and change the landscape. I hope Lizzo has a big night in other categories.

Kind of weird that Lil Nas X has so many to me. I definitely understand having Old Town Road up for song categories, but I'm not really sure the whole EP should be up for anything, and I really don't think he should get Best New Artist over Lizzo or Billie because there's just way more to go off of for them (full albums, releases before they got big, touring).

 

At the very least, he's the "newest" of those three. Lizzo has been around

 

I feel like Lana's nominations is these categories has been a long time coming. And she put out arguably her best album 6 albums into her career after 5 other great ones. She would have my vote.

 

I sort of feel like this list of noms proves that the Grammys have no relevance to what the actual best music of the year was, and I hope Lizzo wins a bunch so she can leverage those meaningless trophies into album sales. Taylor not getting nominated for AOTY defies all logic.

 

Yesterday the remix version of Lover came on and........ They can keep it.

But yeah award shows don't matter, Demi Lovato has zero grammys and Ariana Grande didn't win one until last year lol

 

I think about Kesha losing best pop vocal performance for Praying to Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You a lot.

I think I remember the other three nominees being women as well with actual vocal performances.

 

Lover of course should have been nominated, but this isn't going to be the year I decide to care about Grammy noms. Every year they are terrible

 

rumor has it the nomination committee or whatever has been mad at Taylor since the media blitz pre-Reputation. I wonder if there's any truth to that and that's why they're snubbing her for AOTY 2 albums in a row.

 

I was going to say it’s not that crazy that it didn’t get nominated because so many good albums have came out this year but then I looked and Lil Nas X’s ep is on it so nvm

 

The Grammys are irrelevant unless my fave is nominated and then they matter lol. Hyped for Lana. Was listening to her record again recently and was paying more attention than usual and was just v impressed with her. I really like Lover but it doesn't feel like a big snub to me. I haven't heard Lizzo and Billie's albums but they have had a huge cultural impact and influence so I get it. And Lana put out a phenomenal record. Actually Lana's is the only album in the category I've listened to so I'm just gonna shut up now lol
