A shame about the clickbaity title but it reminds me of the conversations that were had a few months back:
I agreed with this writer's take on the subject Christine and the Queens Says Taylor Swift Is Appropriating Queerness "While Letisser makes a really good point about the exploitation of queerness for capitalism, I think she also misses several marks, including some big ones. In saying “somewhere young gay men” might get something out of Swift’s music, she’s erasing the singer’s very large and very vocal fandom among queer women. A lot of those women find a lot of inspiration and strength from listening to her music and watching her videos. I have six years experience writing for a queer women’s website, and I have seen firsthand how much Swift’s music means to lesbians and queer women. Swift herself has admitted that she’s growing and learning how to be a better ally to the LGBTQ+ community. "
As straight white dude, it's not my place to judge the ultimate optics of "Calm Down," but it was very cool to see an anti-gay person at our local Pride rally get drowned out by that song and everyone cheered and sang along.
I'm so surprised about Taylor having Lasik like it's not like she wore glasses I know contacts but contacts every day for 15 years seems like a lot
I’ve been doing contacts for 5-6 days a week for that amount of time. I mean I take them out before sleeping but yea it’s really not that bad.
Nah, it’s not great. On the other hand, that performance of “False God” is further proof why we need an 11-song Taylor Swift “night” album.
She was amazing on False God, but i was a little let down by the Sax, its so epic in the recorded version.
Her telling Jimmy Fallon that he's "a little bit of a lot" is exactly what I want to tell him every time I see his show. Just perfect wording
I've worn contacts for almost 20 years and I don't think I've ever let anyone see me in glasses except for my mom and dad lol
