Did you do the London Boy tour yet?

 

Sadly I only saw the train and my company’s London office, I was in Oxford for most of my UK trip!

 

I know the press release says theses are her only us festivals but I could totally see her using that as tactic to sell those shows out instantly but be booked for lolla. Lolla already has their headliners for next year booked they book them a year in advance so.... she could play Saturday or Sunday most likely Sunday tho

 

if those truly are her only four US dates she really should've also done like a Lover Fest South in Atlanta and North in Chicago or something. Far too many people couldn't make it to just four dates.

 

What's the wording from the press release? I must have missed it. I figured there is more US to come based on her Instagram post which says "Details and additional dates coming soon! "

My main questions for the Fest right now are if it is a single 2-day festival, or 2 individual mirrored days. AKA if I need to get tickets to BOTH days or just one. Second thing I gotta know is if it's general admission or seated. I would assume seated, but it could be GA due to being a fest. I am sure we'll get answers over the next month

 

When I RSVP’d the 2 days were different priorities. Definitely 2 single 1-day festivals. Not clear if the lineup will be the same each day though.

 

Yeah I noticed that too but I don't think that rules out it being a two day fest, just means each day is purchased on it's own.... We'll see

Coachella has 2 entire weekends that are identical, the point of which is that they can sell more tickets to the same show (in theory) which is something I could see Taylor doing for this. Instead of 5 nights at Staples or whatever, it's 2 days of a festival. Just guessing, obviously it could be anything at this point.

 

Her festival would prob have her friends like kkkamila or whatever but Taylor has rly interesting taste in music so if she used it as a platform to elevate other artists that would actually be rly cool.

 

For the registered presale, it said it would only give you a code for one show per city and if you chose the same city as your first and second choice, the second choice would be ignored. It seems like they are trying to prevent people from going to both days (which won't work lol). So I could see it being the same lineup for both days, but it could go either way.

 

Having been privy to some details of Gillette's inner workings in the past, I can almost guarantee their dates will be fully reserved, with the exception of the pit near the stage if she opts to do one.

I also have no idea how they'll handle multiple stages there, since they utilize virtually all of their available parking for her shows. It would be a nightmare to take any of that away.

 

The Rolling Stone interview is great and the photoshoot is very cool

 

Whenever I read a Taylor interview I either find what she says rly nice and insightful or roll my eyes that she's rewriting history. This interview appears to be a mixture of both lol. After thinking about the Man some more idk how I feel. Overall I don't think it's a bad message at all. I know it's a short song and I don't expect her to write an entire feminist theory in a several minute pop song. But I feel like she's often taking about how if she was a man it'd be okay to be alpha or flash her dollars or do this or that, but I guess I hope the next step of her speaking out is criticizing all of that specific behavior. Idk. Idk maybe I'm overthinking and it's totally going over my head oop, but instead of saying "if I was a man I could do this or what without as much criticism" lately my mindset has been more like "it's not cool when women do this and it's also not cool when men do this." Like instead of aspiring or dreaming to do what men can, I find myself more often these days being like lol no men are the worst, they should be more like us instead. Specifically speaking, like some ppl criticize Taylor for being money hungry and calculating. And no, a man wouldn't get that criticism and that's not fair. But instead of not criticizing Taylor for it, I'd rather criticize her and also men for it. I'm over celebs being praised for being "business savvy" and hoarding millions of dollars to build a ridiculously unnecessary empire. Idk.

it's insane that she has enough property that her, Joe, and all 3 cats can have their own place with property to spare, and also they are cats they can't have their own house
I know she needs her privacy but having an entire Manhattan Apartment complex can't be the only way to achieve that

but also of course her reputation is coded in misogyny

 

Yeah I think there needs to be a lot of nuance in conversations about tswift or rly many situations where someone is clearly victimized in some instances and incredibly privileged and misguided in others. I think too often, espesh in pop culture convos, ppl are too extreme on one end or the other, but that's the internet for u.

I also think the older I get the more just tired and annoyed of large displays of wealth I get haha. After seeing every day ppl just struggling to survive and see others my age desperately trying to claw out of suffocating debt, the last thing I wanna hear is like Ariana grande singing about Tiffany's and how she just bought a new weave. I understand the appeal, escapism aspect, espesh in instances of marginalized ppl who never thought they'd make it, but like. Idk. It bothers me that Taylor is hawking for capital one. It bothers me that the podcast I listened to this morning had an ad for an exploitative money lending company. Anyway now I'm just complaining haha

Last thing oop (I'm being v critical of an interview I mostly enjoyed sry haha) but such bs on her excuse for not denouncing white supremacists. Even if she did have no internet and was dealing with other stuff and her team was in charge, her team was able to respond to trademark issues on etsy and comment on the rumor she was hiding in a suitcase. If ur team was handling everything and either didn't feel the need to comment on being viewed as a twisted neo nazi figure or didn't know how to comment on it.......... Get a new team
