TOP TIER TAYLOR: Lover, The Archer, Miss Americana, Paper Rings, Cornelia Street, Death By A Thousand Cuts, False God, It's Nice To Have A Friend, Daylight GOOD SHIT Cruel Summer, Soon You'll Get Better, Afterglow, You Need To Calm Down, Me OK I GUESS BUT COULDA BEEN B-SIDES I Forgot That You Existed, The Man, I Think He Know, London Boy that's where I'm at
the more I listen to this the more I love it The more I listen to this I realize I don’t think there’s a single song on here that cracks taylor’s Top 15 for me
I really like it musically. I think it was @personalmaps who said it sounds like an Andrew McMahon song, and I think that's right on the money. Also explains why it's so up my alley.
"I Think He Knows" just makes me happy. It's the same impact that "Cut to the Feeling" by CRaeJep or "Am I Pretty" by The Maine has on me. Just bops on bops on bops. I do get why not everyone cares for it, but MAN I love that song.
trying that now. archer's a nice intro track choice. first fours songs are perfect! worried that the middle might drag with the four song "cornelia street -> lover" sequence.
It could've been so much worse than Cornelia. As evidence, I present this article about LA's strangest street names (because I couldn't find one that did the same thing for NYC): These Might Be the Worst and Weirdest Street Names in the History of L.A.
At least it wasn't like Couch street in PDX. Or an hour away we have st called steptoe and I irrationally hate it
That is a fun read. I think the phrase “never walk Cornelia Street again” seems clunky. Something like Amelia flows off the tongue better. But she’s writing about the actual place and I respect that. I’m also probably just still salty that I don’t love the album.
After a bunch of listens now, "Cornelia Street" is the song that I find myself singing in my head and out loud at all hours of the day. Gorgeous song, but also a really nice sounding street name.
Was wondering when Fox would set their crosshairs on her. Surprised they waited until she mimed a watch.
Enjoyed this podcast episode. Popcast: Is Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ the Beginning or the End of an Era? on Apple Podcasts
I think the way she sings 'wrap your arms around me baby boy' during the bridge on Paper Rings is one of my favourite moments on the entire record
Can’t wait for people to act like that’s anything other than stellar to push a Taylor failing narrative.
