It’s taylor Swift - anything she releases as a single will be huge - as evidenced by me! Me should have never been created
Yep, I thought Me was fine when it was first released but I realllllly don’t like it now. You Need To Calm Down, however, has grown on me to the point where I now think it would’ve been a really great first single.
Entire album is good but the entire run of songs from Cruel Summer to London Boy is A++ Paper Rings is definitely still my favorite.
Taylor just won Video for Good for YNTCD and let Todrick give the whole speech surrounded by the LGBTQ cast of the video and never said a word letting them have the platform. Can we stop questioning if she's an actual ally now or...
it's pandering to sell more of the album and hide the fact that she's literally the worst person to ever have existed obv
When "Me!" came out, I thought it was more or less a requirement that she bring Panic! on tour with her so Brendon could do the song as part of a massive closing sequence. Now it feels like the song could be buried in the middle of the set and be entirely inconsequential. For the record, I still completely support the idea of Panic! opening. I just think it's far less likely now.
God, imagine Taylor doing a room even as small as like 5,000 cap or something with just a band and back up singers...........I know tickets would be impossible to get and Livenation bots would fuck over everyone but imagine a world where like, idk the next thing she takes on is the corrupt ticketing industry or something and she somehow saves us all.
My best guest is a string of nights at arenas, with much more stripped back production. More acoustic songs, less of the bombast. It'd be awesome to see her do theaters but I don't even want it because I already feel the heartbreak from inevitably not getting tickets. Unless she did like mini-residencies in these cities. I also could see her doing more festivals, but that wouldn't really fit with the living room aesthetic she's describing.
