jokes aside - I mean I go and look at spotify plays and most people probably agree. I wanna know what some of the chorusians think is so bad about her last two albums? I didn’t like the 2 singles for the last one but that’s about it.
That's not a good indicator. Streaming became king between 1989 and Reputation which will lead to the difference in numbers. There's been so much change in music sales the last 20 years that you can't even compare sales within 5 years. I think the best indicator of relevance/selling power is number of top singles and how long they stay at the top.
Lover is fantastic, aside from the 2 singles. Reputation just didn't connect with me at all, aside from "Getaway Car" and "New Years Day." Pretty much the rest of the album was too cringy to me.
Don't Blame Me & So It Goes are probably my top two songs on Reputation. Dancing With Our Hands Tied ranks pretty high for me too.
Lover is really good, though I probably like it less than Red, 1989, & Fearless. “The Archer” is in my top tier of top tier of Taylor songs, though.
Never listened all the way through any of the albums before 1989, starting Red now, no better time than today, right?
im not really interested in all that noise from a macro level she’s only grown in popularity - somewhere since Reputation she became like the worlds most popular artist or whatever people are saying
To answer your question about chorusians I'd say it's split on liking the last two albums. Most people who found/listened to T Swift before 1989 are more mehh/it's ok/lukewarm on them. The crowd that came in with 1989 seem to like both or one of the last two A LOT. Again just painting with a very broad brush.
