Like, “Caves” from The Glass Passenger? If haven’t gotten that vibe at all. I get a huge catharsis from the song. And I don’t necessarily need that here, I just think it’s a not super interesting song at the end of a long album that doesn’t give the record as nice a send-off as her closers typically have in the past. Last year I did a Twitter game where I imagined rounding up artists to record whole-album covers of a specific artist’s catalog (I did Springsteen, but you could choose any artist/band) and I can’t remember now if I picked her for Tunnel of Love, but I definitely thought about it. She would do amazing work with a lot of those songs.
Damn! I never saw it in the first place, or I definitely would've pulled the trigger. I don't really buy a lot of merch, but I love cool coffee mugs.
A lot of the merch drops artists of her size are doing are super time limited (like 2-3 days max). If you see something you really want, I recommend buying it quick. Conversely, there will likely be a ton more merch in coming days/weeks so I’m not buying anything I don’t 100% love.
Thanks for the heads up. I don't remember that being a thing historically, aside from really popular stuff selling out.
I used this very fact to sell some Yinzer friends on this track while I had em in my backyard on Friday. Worked like a charm...it was almost too easy haha.
Yea not a fan of that. And it reminds me of those annoying initial things where the last initial is in the middle of the first and middle initial. so is it saying folklore the album or the folklore album? Either way I don’t like it.
Tbh the reason I dont like it is probably the reason she did it lmao. Cause if it just said folklore ppl would assume it's just what my shirt said. If it mentions it's an album then coworkers ask me questions about it and explaining pop culture stuff to them is a chore and draws unnecessary attention to myself lol
Got to have this album soundtrack a camping/rock climbing trip down to Arkansas and I couldn’t imagine a better way to take in this album. Every single melody on here scratches an itch, constant chills. And obviously love the contributions from Aaron and Jack. I’m starting to think invisible string is the song for me, the guitar riff is so pleasing and I can’t get enough of the “cold was the steel of my axe to grind for the boys to broke my heart, now I send their babies presents” line.
same it wasn’t my favorite vinyl variant initially but i ended up thinking it’d be cool if everything about the whole package is black/white/gray also it’s one of the top 2 or 3 alt covers and i really like the look of the secondary artwork they’re teasing for it
okay everyone, it’s time for a game only slightly less annoying than discog ranking: what does Pitchfork give this?
