I agree with this list that August is the best song on Folklore.

 

Mirrorball or Exile

 

Ordered a signed Folklore CD on the 1st and finally got shipping notification today. Hopefully arrives by Sunday for my kids birthday.

 

I honestly don't know what I think the best song is on this record. It changes from minute to minute, and usually my answer is whichever song I'm listening to at the moment I'm being asked. Truly just such a stunning and well crafted piece of music.

 

Peace seems to be my answer

 

“This is me trying” has found its way into my top 3, I think, dethroning “epiphany.”

 

those two both wreck me, epiphany was such a sleeper for me but it's SO GOOD

 

And her god damn voice is soooo good on it.

 

it's a great choice tbh. I think I have a hard time answering it because I think different songs do different things "best" compared to others, so the parameters of "best" is almost too broad. It's a good problem to have.

 

I have a hard time choosing my fave song but August was my most listened to song this year on spotify so I think my music taste has spoken and selected August. But this entire last part of my tears ricochet just destroys me and has become a recent fave:

this section was an initial standout for me (I always like the really depressing stuff lmao) and god, it's so good

 

I’d be so mad about this if we weren’t in the middle of a surge in a pandemic.

 

Invisible string is tops for me, followed by some mix of lakes, august, seven, and exile
