I hope she never gave it the time of day. I can personally vouch for how beyond annoying it is when some jabroni takes something you said either out of context or WAY overemphasizes it to others until to hear him tell it, you were passionately obsessed with him when half the time y'all never so much as held hands and I don't even have her platform
Yeah, I figured. They don’t seem to be doing an awesome job getting everything shipped out; lots of people have gotten their orders already, but it also seems like a bunch (mine included!) have processed and are just sitting somewhere. But I’d imagine there’s a massive quantity of product to manage.
Vinyl production plants are the problem. She gave everyone one day’s notice and wanted eight variants of one of the largest vinyl orders of the year. It sucks, but given the single pop artist is going to have these delays. Lana Del Rey just pushed her album release back to spring because of the same factors.
Yeah, I totally get that, but isn't the vinyl all produced at this point? It seems like the delay now is actually shipping the orders, which is more of a logistics/warehousing/order fulfillment problem (and something they probably should have been more prepared for, given the massive lead time they had to work with). Not a huge deal, really; we'll all get our records eventually. Just kind of sucks that some orders have been closed out and received and some are still in limbo for some reason.
Ah, misunderstood your point. Yeah, the supply chains are frustrating and UMG is spending a lot of time and money trying to improve them. I haven't asked internally about Taylor because honestly I haven't been tracking when my vinyl was supposed to arrive, but they should all be out and getting there soon.
Stuff is wacky this year anyway. I don't know anyone who has gotten their vinyl yet IRL, but I also know several folks who haven't seen any of their merch period when others started getting ours... nearly months ago, at this point
Either it's been months or I've been in this apartment so long I've literally lost the ability to gauge the passage of time (likely)
Article about worldwide vinyl delays from back in May, relevant to this convo How the Coronavirus Is Affecting America’s Vinyl Record Industry
I’ve had plenty of records show up 6~ months after ordering them so folklore is actually coming pretty quick for me lol
Yeah. Underoath is also having production issues with their pressings they launched over the summer, too.
