Oh that's sweet! I've never bought an artist's phone cover but I would've definitely considered this one if I hadn't bought the vinyl so fast. Also, these back cover photos are gorgeous too! Especially like "in the weeds", "hide and seek", and "clandestine meetings".
She dropped some S bombs (omg) and other non-Christian-like words on Reputation. Or maybe she only said "shit." I can't remember, ha.
She's only put out two hits. Scarcity drives that. I don't think she'd be that far ahead of Swift if she put out albums at the same clip.
Top covers are 1. Hide and Seek 2. Running Like Water 3. In the Trees 4. Stolen Lullabies 5. In the Weeds 6. The Cladestine Meetings 7. Betty’s Garden 8. Meet Me Behind the Mall
I'm not sure who posted it cause they're coming in fast here, but: I've been on the Swift train since Fearless. Me and @Tim were the first regulars of the Taylor Swift thread on AP. I think Lover is her 3rd best behind Red and Fearless. It's not only recent fans.
Lover would be my favorite if you cut out 5ish songs and relegated them to bonus tracks. The Top 5 songs on Lover are phenomenal and exactly what I love about her music
Honestly "Lover" has a reasonable case as my favorite song in the last 5 years. It'll likely be the first dance at my wedding.
If she stuck to her supposed love of 13 with choosing tracks a lot of her albums would be stronger by omission of perfectly fine songs
releasing ME! as the lead single kind of knee capped Lover on the onset but it's her best album by far Cruel Summer should have been the first single.
Cruel Summer, Death by a Thousand Cuts, Lover, Paper Rings, I Think He Knows, False God, Afterglow, It’s Nice to Have a Friend....album is so good, and I’m leaving off a handful that could be anyone’s favorite.
I think I've eventually settled that while Reuputation is her "weakest" since the s/t, everything from "So It Goes" to the end is an outstanding album.
It was me. I was painting a VERY broad brush. I've been kinda listening since her debut (my sister made me a fan after this: ). Really enjoyed Fearless and I think I was too deep on MBDTF to enjoy Speak Now at the time. I was definitely part of the wave that started posting about her on AP with Red. That album just hit for me at the right time and like some people I'll hold it up high because that's when I was able to see her live. I feel like Lover is her kinda going back to basics as a songwriter.
“Dress” and “Delicate” are cemented in my personal favorite T Swift lists. A lot of reputation has that bombastic production that just isn’t her strength imo, the best songs on the record avoid it (Dress, Delicate, Call It What You Want, New Years Day, etc). Lover really opens up and gets away from that, which is why I prefer it big time.
Lover is great but it definitely could've improved by cutting like 5 songs. I'd say which 5 but I think my least favorite are some people's favorite.
Surprised to learn that "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is the only Taylor song to eclipse a billion streams.
