When all’s said and done, I’m not a big enough fan of this full album unfortunately. Can’t imagine wanting to spin the other three sides very often.
I’m glad that I’m not the only one not feeling this album. It’s very good, great even, but it’s probably the last one I’d reach for to listen to out of her discography. Certain songs, however, don’t fall into that.
I like a lot of the songs and I’m glad they exist, but more from the perspective of rounding out her discography with more writerly folk-ish storytelling vs “I need these songs in my life right now”. Also...it’s summertime! I’m in more of a 1989/reputation mood these days.
Wait. How is “my tears ricochet” bottom anything in her discography? Such a great song. Strong vocal performance. I personally find it to be her most heartbreaking song.
Hits Daily Double updated their projection article for this week today and say that it’s now going to be a very close race between Evermore and Sour for #1 due to Taylor’s new digital promotion.
Pretty insane that the vinyl being released is enough to catapult it back up the chats. I don't follow vinyl much, was folklore's vinyl release anything special? Why is this one so different?
when folklore was released, preorders counted towards first week sales before they shipped. with evermore, the numbers don’t count until the record ships because billboard changed their rules.
Had not been keeping up with this thread and did not get a shipping notification, so finding this in my mailbox today was a wonderful surprise
All of her merch appears to be gone from her store so I am once again suspicious of what Miss Swift is up to - I went back a couple of pages and didn't see anything about this so apologies if it's already been covered! Haven't gotten notifications for this thread either for awhile, oops.
There were a few vinyl copies at my target today, but their folklore variant sounds terrible so I didn’t want to grab it.
Theories are pointing to her announcing or releasing something tonight at midnight. There’s been a lot of “6/4” clues lately apparently. So I guess we just keep our eyes and ears out for something tonight and see what happens!
Thanks for spending $6 on something you already have. Here’s a $40 tank top you’ll get in December $50 vinyl record you’ll get in 10 months $20 mug that was already sold on Etsy $10 cell phone accessories with the album cover
