Maybe she can rip off Nu Metal culture next In all seriousness, I think a pop-rock record or something like JEW would make sense and be really really good.
Or she could partner with Ezra of Vampire Weekend and go the route of that adult-contemporary indie jam band sound
I still think she'd sound so good collabing with like alanis morissette, johnny rzeznik and Rob thomas
I got sucked into “scrapped TS6 album named Karma” tiktok last night. I’ve never heard the phrase Bleachella more in my life.
It’s funny that that’s the theory now- it used to be that Lover was meant to be TS6, but everything in 2016 made her shelve it and write Rep instead haha.
I *do* buy into the theory that there's probably a good 6-8 songs on Lover (Cruel Summer in particular, would be my first guess,) that were written pre-Reputation and that's why Lover is so long. I don't think Karma actually exists. But it's hilarious how far they'll go.
Reputation isn’t even that much of a “I’m a bad girl now” album as many think it is. So I could see some songs being on Lover as older ones.
I don’t know anyone who thought Rep was supposed to be “I’m a bad girl now” instead of her dealing with public perception of her at the time and realizing the people that matter in her life will always see the real her
this didn't help the Reputation discourse haha, plus the whole reaction to Kim calling her a snake was like there's no winner in this scenario
I would argue that Taylor's most recent underrated song is "Beautiful Ghosts," obviously because of the movie it's tied to, but it's such a great song
I have been meaning to open a bottle of wine and watch the monstrosity eventually. We may be in a panini, but we're not in that much of a panorama yet. Listen, if people can come into this thread and choose violence on Reputation I can do the same.
