I think other songs encapsulate the mood of the album better than Red. I get that it’s the title track and I don’t dislike it at all... just wouldn’t make my ten track cut

Red is probably one of the most essential songs to her career, not just that album.

 

Treacherous gets god once it hits the latter half, but it's just too clunky for me. "this love is treacherous, i, i, i like it" just always felt... dumb to me. Same problem with "everytime I don't, i almost do" I just really don't like either of those songs lyrically

 

Honestly, what else would you expect from me?

With a gun to my head, I could make a 13 track version of Red... and it would have one of the b-sides in the main sequencing.

Dan Wilson is one of my all-time favorite songwriters and one of the biggest reasons I started listening to Taylor Swift and I feel the same way about that song. I basically can't listen to it.
