So minus two or three songs for me this is still pretty fucking good. Can’t believe we got two really solid albums this year.

title track is a perfect closer too. looking forward to spending the week listening to this album.

Second listen always hits me way harder than the first. I'm giving it some time before embarking on it and formulating thoughts.

 

After first listen this wasn't as immediate as folklore, but I can tell there's some real gems. Coney island, cowboy and evermore are all stunners. Can't wait to sit with this and really absorb it all.

 

I think I actually liked this more on first listen than I did Folklore. Obviously it'll need some time to see how it stacks up overall. I'm so happy we got these two though, I was worried it was going to be a while before we got anything new with her rerecording her old stuff and thought she might never come back to this sound.

Gold Rush is absolutely brilliant.

 

I’m embarrassed to admit I somewhat doubted her ability to have another incredible album this year- yea it may have a handful of good and memorable songs but that would be it. Now I feel like an idiot bc I honestly love this way more than I like folklore. Can’t wait to listen to this nonstop this weekend.

So far this feels more like a country album to me than folklore did, at least in terms of songwriting structure and lyrical approach. It also is the fall-to-winter album to folklore’s summer-to-fall sound. It’s hitting me on first listen, I think, more than folklore did.

 

what will i receive first.... a vaccine, the folklore vinyl, or this vinyl???!

 

Mine passed the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Feel ya partner!

 

This has some very high highs, but isn’t quite as high across the board as folklore. But this may grow to be more rewarding over time.

This is so good. Just starting Coney Island.
So far I love everything except “No Body”, that’s a little too much of a Carrie Underwood retread for me and it feels out of place. Everything else though....damn.
