it's very hard for me to leave space for the possibility that i won't like this album

I know I should because anything is possible

but... I'm failing

 

I am at "Wildest Dreams" in my discog run-through today (work has been stupid, I should've been long done) and my God 1989 is just banger after banger after banger. Even Welcome To NY finally clicked for me a little bit today.

 

I’m hoping for some 5 minute tracks on this one... songs I can really settle into

 

she has literally never let us down, we're trained to know she doesn't miss

 

I can't help but think it can't be as good as folklore...

but can it?

there are dozens of us who don't even have folklore in their top 3 taylor albums. so like. as long as she stays par for the course we'll be fine

 

folklore is definitely my #1 album, because it's the only album where every single song is great. If Lover was the 10 best songs, it would be my favorite, but it has a few shit songs that bring down the "album" as a whole

 

I still can't believe this lol.. wonder what I'll be changing my custom title to

That's an awesome drive, especially during the rising or setting sun. Jealous

 

yeah, honestly driving has kept us somewhat sane during quaratine. We try to take a drive north or south along the beach every day right before lunch. It's nothing big, but it does help break up the inside monotony

beautiful! I know that exact spot in Malibu in the top pic, I'm always blown away when the road starts the decline there and you can see everything. I'm always the driver though, so I never get a picture haha. Really great shots you got.

 

I’m releasing an EP tonight but now I’m mainly looking forward to this album lol.

 

lmao I know what you mean. i had a song on a comp come out today and I was very annoyed this morning that I had to disengage from taylor speculation long enough to type out posts to advertise that on social channels.

 

Thanks man, hahaha; I will admit I've had some coloring done and sharpening, but yeah the landscapes there generally are good enough on their own. That drive north of Malibu is really nice; we stayed at an RV park not too far north of Pepperdine university. El Matador beach is great too. You have to sit in the passenger seat next time! Took a nap today so I can stay up until midnight to listen despite having to get up at 5 because I don’t respect myself

autechre released two albums this year and i'd say i prefer the second one to the first one, it can happen
