I’ve been critical of TS for not doing anything special lately that I haven’t heard already before, but the support on this tour is basically who I was thinking about so I gotta give her credit for putting this together. This is actually extremely cool to see these bands get to play with one of the biggest musician stars of our time.
Yup. $49.00 Ticket prices will range from $49 up to $449, and VIP packages will start at $199 up to $899 on a first come, first served basis. If you were previously a Lover Fest Verified Fan purchaser, you'll receive preferred access to participate in the presale. Public on-sale of The Era Tour tickets will begin on Friday, November 18 at 10 a.m. local venue time. Get ready! Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour: Everything You Need to Know
Now - assuming she doesn’t also hide those ticket prices behind the Dynamic Pricing bullshit, this is incredible news. Blink issued a similar release, only to see DP absolutely fistfuck their most dedicated fans buying tickets on day one. So I am skeptical. But as a guy who loves concerts and has kiddos who have wanted to see her for years, I am honestly deliriously happy at the idea of getting tickets for $100ish each after fees that make their summer.
Seeing how these are only weekend shows and how long it takes to build/dismantle/move/build her sets I would not expect Canadian dates to pop up anywhere between the dates released. Outside of the date between Arlington and Tampa, it's literally every weekend for 5 months straight. With it ending in August, still seems early enough in the year to do outside shows in Canada.
I mean, who is to say these are the only actual dates? She's never subtle, even when fans think she is. "Eras" has meaning. I see her doing a Harry Styles residency of different eras of her music. Maybe 3 per night, 7-8 songs per album, over 3-4 nights. Then you get to pick the show you want the most. Do you wanna see 1989, but you also have to see Evermore and her debut? Or do you want the Speak Now/Reputation/Lover show? Frankly, if she does this and charges these prices every night, she may as well just get two different identical stages and have them transition in the "off" week. She's playing the Vikings stadium in MN and it'll sell out in seconds. She can make a quarter B from this tour alone if she does multiple dates in each city with this plan.
