I know what you're saying. We are always learning and continuously growing. I think her being older than me prob factors into it. I was 18 when that song was released so I couldn't be like "Aw, well I was dumb at 21 so I get it!" It was like "sis you're older than me what are you doing!!" I wasn't perfect at 21 and am still not and never will be so I'm not trying to give that impression or anything so I hope I'm not. I wish she'd apologize and all those lil scene bands too with their lyrics while I'm on the subject!

but I need to go shower or something lol cause I keep editing which means my thoughts are too rambly for this!

It wasn't on KUWTK, they just were heavily referencing her. Scott asked oh whats the d
Only quoting because...every time I hear that song..I think of Misery Business.

I agree Misery Business is problematic but at least Hayley has apologized since. Maybe the fact that I'm 21 is making me less forgiving, but I do think Taylor should've known better. I'm all about people growing up and changing, but part of deciding to make that change is to apologize to the ones you've wronged. Saying "I've grown as a person since" is a really narcissistic way of addressing the situation when (again, unlike Misery Business) someone was directly affected. I can only imagine what sort of abuse Swift fans may have hurled at Camilla. It isn't so small a transgression as Swift merely expressing herself.

Dunno if it has been mentioned yet, but Joseph Kahn's tweets "defending" Taylor are fucking gross. I bet half the flack Swift gets is brought about by orbiters & hangers-on like this that just make everything worse for her. Embarrassing...

Yes...that is precisely why she sued them. Because you CAN'T just receive property then sell it. Hence the lawsuit. Idk what you're not getting about it lol. If they really had permission from the get go they never would have made a settlement with her over the lawsuit? They would have taken it to court and won and not lost out on money over it??

Double post but yeah I totally get that that song was written years ago and she was a different person then- I absolutely said shameful things even at age 21 because I wasn't exposed at all to feminism before then.
However once you are old enough to realize your mistakes you own up to them and apologize for them. Which she never did to Belle. She's never publicly been like "I never should have said that about a fellow woman (because i am about lifting other women up now) and I apologize"
All I was saying is that clearly her song was meant to humiliate Camilla and so now she's saying "I was humiliated by this song" well it's a taste of her own medicine a little bit? Not saying that makes it right, but does make it a little bit hypocritical.

I dont think you get it. The lawsuit was all part of their plan. The consent and rights to the video were signed before the tape was released by Vivid. Vivid and Kim were both in on this deal together (most likely being brokered through a mutual 3rd party). The lawsuit makes her look like a victim who doesnt want the tape out. If she wanted to stop the tape from being released then she could have stopped it, except she did the exact opposite. Both her and RayJ contracted with Vivid for the tape to be released, and she made the 5 million and i think still continues to make money off of it today. This was all part of the plan to receive sympathy, and it is clearly still working. Vivid didnt lose any money out of this, they made a ton of money. Again, all part of the plan. Im not sure how else to explain it. I dont have a problem if you want to make a porn but i do have a problem with her crying victim when the real victims of leaked sex tapes rarely get any sympathy and are often blamed for making the tape in the first place. Sex tape "leaks" are the ones where a person uploads a sex tape onto the internet without full consent. Vivid's sex tapes are all tapes that are posted and sold with the consent and for the benefit of all parties involved. Again, think of it like leaked albums to the internet (no one makes money from it) versus a band's album sold by a record label (both band and label make money). Also, if Vivid sells sex tapes without the consent of the parties they wouldnt just be looking at civil repercussions but criminal ones as well.

Say what you want about the Kardashian family but they know exactly what they are doing and have tremendous industry know how and public perception.

lol yeah I'm sure Vivid agreed to a fake lawsuit and settlement right? Because they care so much about Kim K's career which at the time was nonexistent.
You are really reaching for a conspiracy theory.

This isnt reaching for any conspiracy. I have no idea what youre talking about with her career at the time. Kim K (and RayJ) signed over the rights for the sex tape to Vivid, this is fact. She could have stopped the tape from being sold, that is a fact. The tape made both her and vivid rich and is the highest selling tape of all time. ALL of the porn vivid sells has been signed and consented for release. The "settlement" was the payment, it's the same thing (edit: i think she also continues to make residuals today as well but i cant recall for sure). I dont know what else you want to say, look into it, check out the law. Your mind would probably be blown if you knew the type of shit that goes on behind the scenes in Hollywood. There's not much more to say about this, we disagree on Kim K's sex tape oh well.
