I'd rather they didn't as I enjoy Kanye's and Taylor's albums immensely. But I've already said it before and will say it again, I wish Kanye would just stop tweeting etc. and concentrate on putting out music.
Having permission to say shitty things doesn't make saying shitty things any better. Whatever the case, it's still poor judgment on Kayne's part.
Lol, this whole thing has been crazy entertaining for us mortals. Literally the only person who could've ever "defeated" Taylor's PR-moulded image was Kim, a.k.a. miss PR herself. If people think that she would risk any lawsuits & post this on snapchat without Kris Jenner's summoned demon-lawyers checking it over with a fine-tooth comb they are dumb
Putting so much thought and energy into destroying someones life is fucking stupid, weird, creepy... It's fucking stupid.
Wow, things have definitely gotten ridiculous when people are talking about buttholes. Kloe is a scumbag. She gets mad at Chloe Grace Moretz so she posts a picture of her butthole from an accidental slip on the beach. Except it's not even Moretz's butthole, just some random girl at the beach. Even if it was Moretz, that's pretty telling of Khloe that she thinks that is an ok and acceptable thing to do.
I don't think Kim is trying to destroy Taylor's life or anything, but after Taylor talked down to her in that statement and said Kim was just under pressure and was basically blindly repeating what Kanye told her, Kim has prob been itching to release it and I don't really blame her in that sense.
I'm certainly open to hearing others' opinion on this and I'm not trying to be an elitist, but I personally feel like this kind of content is better left off of Chorus. Music news is one thing - celebrity drama is something completely different. Some users enjoy Taylor's music, some users enjoy Kanye's, some users enjoy both, and some users don't really care for either. I understand if there's a new single or album or video by one of the artists that is coming out, then a news article is certainly appropriate. But for something like this, I'd personally prefer not to have to read about it on here. Pop culture no doubt has a huge impact on society as a whole, but I feel like a line needs to be drawn every now and then depending on the actual content of the situation at hand. Jason, I can tell from the way you worded the original post that you didn't feel confident in doing so, which is perfectly fine. I just hope you know that you shouldn't feel obligated to post articles that you're not comfortable with. I mean, I'm sure you already know this and practice this, but I figured I'd mention it. Again this is my own personal preference and I'm open to hearing what others have to say and am also not set in one way of thinking regarding this.
We're talking about a guy who released the Life of Pablo 4 times to change things on it. I'm sure if she told him she wasn't comfortable with it he would've changed it
If Kanye can be forgiven for upstaging Taylor back in 2009 and then writing a fairly misogynistic diss track about her, then I can easily forgive Taylor for lying or whatever. The lines here seem pretty blurred anyway.
seeing a lot of tweets from guys revelling in the fact that "Taylor was proven wrong" and it's definitely rubbing me the wrong way.
I don't think I'd mind Taylor lying so much if she didn't give that Grammys speech. I've always disliked her self serving brand of feminism but that's bs to turn something she knew about and approved into a big feminist moment for herself to garner good will. That genuinely annoys me. It's still a good message but with the context added it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Definitively and adamantly backing one side seems to miss a whole lot of what's going on to me. If that's the case for someone that's fine but I think then it's also fine to admit that it's mainly because you like Kanye and don't like Swift or vice versa. And again this is famous and rich adults being shitty to each other so no one really wins in the end except them, which is a large part of why this just bums me out as a fan of both their music. Post script, my autocorrect changed "vice versa" to "vice Versace" and I think I love that phrase but I'm not sure for what yet.
If this changes anyone's perception of Swift, it really shouldn't. She's always been a calculated and vicious career oriented business woman. In fact, she's kinda like Kim. Both women should be praised for this.
Yeah, for someone who presumes to be so feminist, I found the way Taylor referred to Kim as really quite demeaning. Kim's relatively more powerful than Kanye considering her media empire and her net worth is substantially more significant (hint: it's twice Kanye's). Plus, I can imagine insinuating that Kim is dumb is a sore spot for Kim.
I see two women who could of easily been like, "fuck it I'm rich already, don't gotta do shit!" But turned that down in favor for their own hustle.
