Pumped for the Jones Beach show tomorrow. I'm optimistic that the show will be decently packed.....long island is all about the emo scene.
I got an email this morning for $20 tickets to the shows tonight and tomorrow. Must not be selling that well. I already bought tickets through groupon for Sunday, mostly for the starting line.
Check livenation...there's tons of seats left. I guess there's still time though. It's weird, I feel like I know a lot of people who are going.
Taste of chaos has been posting in the philly event saying low ticket alert. I wonder why the other shows aren't selling well
Oh wow yeah there are a lot left. Yeah same here it's weird because I know sooo many people going. I still think this show will sell better than the others in the long run. It's a 15k venue, if they're able to sell 8k tickets that's impressive (and it doesnt look like they're too far off from that number).
To be fair its the middle of the day on a Friday. Sure 80% of the people attending are still at work.
Went to the Wallingford show on Thursday and was surprised at how empty the venue was. The pit wasn't really too full, and hey had blocked off a decent portion of the seats on the sides of the stage. A lot of people left after TBS, so the pit cleared up, as well as a lot of the seats around me. I got the seats right behind the pit for about $25 a few hours before the show on Stubhub (which, the seats were originally $65 after fees). My date was really expensive (Pit was $81), so I'm glad I held off buying tickets. I personally had a great time. I haven't listened to Dashboard in years but they were SO tight live. Sounded great, nice energy, and they had a nice, full sound. Only complaint - they had these weird projections in the background that didn't really have anything to do with the music or the set - i just found them to be more distracting than immersive. I mainly went for TBS and thought they sounded the weakest of the bands. All of their songs just didn't really come together, which was disappointing. It was kind of a forgettable performance. Saosin killed it, Anthony Green is such a great front man. So much energy, nice stage presence, and also sounded spot on. I missed TEN because my friend got out of work late, but I've seen them a few times before so I was alright with that. The crowd was a REALLY weird mix. Average age was probably around 30, and probably 75% of the venue was absolutely drunk. Everything from girls in heels with Coach purses crowd surfing to dads trying to hold down a pit. People watching at this show was practically as fun as the show itself (not in a bad way!) It was a fun show to go to and I definitely recommend going if you're on the fence.
Went to the Boston show and your description of the crowd was pretty spot on. Every time I see Taking Back Sunday 90% of the crowd is trashed 20 something year old's. Alot of "I used to like them in high school" nostalgia for a lot of more casual fans I guess, which I feel like this tour is aiming to hit.
How did the time work out last night with extra band STD? I'm going tonight and I really wanted to see TEN but my friend tells me last night that she has a wax appointment this evening at 5:15. I'm super excited to see Dashboard as a grown up tonight. Gave them a listen a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe how much I didn't understand before.
the set times for all dates are actually up on the taste of chaos website...looks like TEN goes on at 530
so bummed I missed TEN tonight. Also they posted the wrong set times on their site....Saosin went on before MCS.
i kind of want to go to this in Atlanta, but I don't really want to pay for it. I'm going to wait until day of and see if one of these new ticketmaster vouchers will work.
Dam that setlist absolutely rips. So jealous of everyone who got to catch them. Give me Nightengale in addition to those and I'm mostly content.
Have an extra ticket tonight. Will sell for $20, send me a message if interested. Getting there for doors at 5
Odd. I was at the Jersey date. They ended 10 minutes early and didn't play Freakish or Firefly. But I know they intended too because I heard them play Freakish at soundcheck.
Went to Philly yesterday. The venue was kind of cramped and the sound could have been better, but all the bands were fun. I wish TEN played longer. Saosin killed it. The Starting Line were just alright but it was exciting to see them regardless. Adam went on some weird rants between TBS songs, almost like he's trying out to be a mega church pastor. Overall, worth the day after show sleepiness at work today.
