good stuff. would anyone be shocked if they tried to do a 2nd season?

A little surprised the thread is so quiet after the finale. Y’all watched the same thing I did, right? Shit was incredible

 

I thought it was very good but episode 5 was easily the highlight for me.

 

Wouldn’t they know the feds didn’t recover the money though

 

My exact thoughts Monday and yesterday lol

 

Last two episodes were intense. Really enjoyed this.

 

finale was great. surprisingly emotional. the courtroom scene worked me up and then the quick shot of the pic of Robbie & Billy in Maeve's car had me cutting onions.

I was really surprised that Grasso survived - he was looking pretty shitty hanging out the side of the car in that high shot of the driveway. Plus, nobody puts pressure on wounds in this show - you got Grasso laying there, Brandis when he was holding Robbie in the car on the way to the hospital.

Martha Plimpton was amazing in this too.

Incredible show.

 

I meant to come back and post and just forgot to do so haha. Finale was extremely good. My only ‘complaint’ if you can even call it that was I wanted more on what was gonna happen to Grasso, but we can all assume what so. But thought they handled his story well. Really wasn’t expecting it to go down like did with him, his captain, and the biker. Also loved that Tom looked the other way on the money. I assume they’re going to Canada, but not really sure given Canada is like 8 hours minimum from Philly lol.

The court scene was pretty heartbreaking, as was Tom giving up Sam.
I also just love being spoiled with local references and the accent I grew up around. I spent a ton of time in Delco and Chesco since my mom’s side of the family is from a town right on the border of the two (the one Easttown was supposedly based off of and where they shot a bunch of Mare), so seeing a bunch of places that are in that area and I think Montgomery Co as well is always cool.

 

When they said Chatham Park I lost it - I went to school there. While 7 episodes was a bit short, it was enough to for me. One particular death scene still bugs me, even though it's "just tv"

 

I think 7 episodes was perfect. What more did you need?

Show was incredible. I barely slept the night I watched episode 5 I was so upset / jacked up

 

Binged through the episodes I hadn’t watched yet yesterday, this was really damn good. Cast was great, story was solid, and despite never been to PA, they did a great job capturing that location. There’s some beautiful spots they filmed at, might have to go there one day and check out that lake and what not.

Maeve is a goddam queen!

Really loved Mark Ruffalo’s performance in this, he was brilliant
