I liked this on my first listen. Didn’t floor me like Lonerism or Currents but maybe that changes.

The entire leak fiasco for this album has been a laughable shitshow.

First, it was the Sonos/Apple Music leak from a week ago where people recorded an INSTAGRAM LIVESTREAM to get their fix, which is perhaps the worst way to ever listen to anything for the first time.

Then we had the vinyl’s being sold early, resulting in just side A being leaked and then by yesterday a mono rip that was barely passable. Then people “remastered” that rip to pull more frequencies out of it.

As of now, we have a 128Kbps rip of the CD.

At this rate, we might have a cassette rip by tomorrow.

 

Finally have a 320 CD rip out there lol

I'm reviewing this later in the week and it's the most excited I've been to write about an album in a hot minute, let me tell you that much.

 

Really enjoyed this upon first listen! I can't say whether it's as good as Currents yet but it's good.
