Finally listening to that self titled Melody’s Echo Chamber album and it’s awesome. Can definitely tell Kevin produced it

 

love this album so much

 

Don’t think I’ve listened to this since February. It’s not bad at all, but I think there are so many more interesting albums that have come out this year that it pretty much just lost my attention.

 

when my wife can't sleep she throws this album on, it's soothing as fuck

it's like a cool funky double album from the '70s in mood and flow, i love those

 

Anyone got any recs for artists that have a sound like “Breathe Deeper”? Looking for other artists who have that groove like Tame Impala

 

I really think of this album as disco

 

I think this record is more consistent than Currents, but Currents has higher highs. I'd rather listen to this one all the way through. There isn't a "Past Life" here, thankfully. New Borderline, Posthumous Forgiveness, Breathe Deeper (what a run of songs), Lost In Yesterday, and Is It True are my favorites.

Also this album is weird to me, because it was kind of my AOTY before COVID hit, and this year has felt like it's been split into a pre-COVID and post-COVID period, and this one hasn't gotten much playtime in the post-COVID period. There's also been a lot of other really good stuff to listen to as well though.

EDIT: Also, on my playlist of the album, I put Patience in between Tomorrow's Dust and On Track. I think it works pretty well.

love the buzzy bass on Past Life

even the interludes on Currents hit

only frustrating moment on that album is sitting through that extended instrumental section that happens before the bridge of Let It Happen

 

"Let It Happen" is perfect imo

man they upped the ante on the house influence here - at least for the first song. I’d like to see more of that.

 

Really cool they played Patience.

 

I saw that on my Spotify radar today. Excited to listen to a BO take on that
