Funny you should mention this. Kevin actually responded to a meme on Instagram regarding wine and his music. Hilarious response IMO.
I'll have to give this several listens. On 1st pass, I'm not really feeling it. I don't dislike it, but I don't particularly want to go raving about it either (which is how I expected I'd feel).
kind of love every track in its own way, which makes the length worth it. shocked people have any issue with "posthumous forgiveness," that shit is incredible
This is obviously ~good~ because he's an incredible musician and producer but nothing digging into my ear they way a bunch of tracks on Currents did.
I recommend listening to each song as it’s own thing. The production on this thing is so tight that I think it does start to blend together in the middle, but if you listen to each song on their own, I don’t think there’s a bad moment on this album
I listened yesterday in the middle of a 5-hour drive through the empty wastelands of mid-California, was kinda a perfect setting
there is a 100% chance that The Desert Sessions have happened in and around there, it's basically this for 4+ hours
this album is so good! i liked currents, need to spend some more time with the older stuff, but this one has me hooked!
2:53 of On Track is hitting really good right now EDIT: Lost In Yesterday and Is It True back to back might be Kevin's biggest flex yet.
Is It True doesn't even crack my top half! This is the best album I've heard thus far this year and it's not even close.
It Might Be a Time is probably my fav at this point. One More Year and One More Hour are close behind
Feel like I read somewhere on this site that someone felt this was a regression, but I feel like this is such a successful amalgamation of all of his projects thus far
