Funeral for a Friend did cross my mind as well, they were strong until the end. Huge Chevelle fan but I think having Hats Off to the Bull in their discography makes them a non pick for me because I'd want to love every album from the band.
Man I loved Funeral For A Friend, they were my favourite band for two years when I was younger. Saw them just under 10 times in 6 different UK cities. So amazing.
It bummed me out that they quit touring the states in the end, I never got to see anything played from Welcome Home Armageddon, Conduit and Chapter&Verse which is a bummer because that's such a great stretch of albums. I saw them multiple times with songs from Casually Dressed, Hours and Tales. The last time I saw them play their set was cut though Touring with Story of the Year, Anberlin and He Is Legend (I know, amazing) and the drummer got shocked by an exposed wire while playing and had to be sent to hospital. They only played 3 songs, All The Rage, Roses for the Dead and was in the middle of Red is the New Black when he fell off his set.
Absolutely need to go with New Found Glory. 9 original full lengths, 3 cover albums, a live album, 3 EPs, and I'm sold.
Queen was the first band I loved, had every album on cassette before I got into punk, so yeah Queen. Even over Alkaline Trio for me lol.
I was never a huge FFAF fan but welcome home Armageddon is one of the best albums I've heard in the last 5-7 years. the guitars on that record are so good. Really wish I got to see em.
I agree, I think it may be their best or second best album. Even on none heavy tracks like Aftertaste and Sixteen, the guitar work is so good.
One that immediately came to mind that I didn't see anyone talking about was Tom Petty. Enormous discog. Conor Oberst is a great choice if I could have Bright Eyes, solo stuff, Desaparecidos and Monsters of Folk. Deftones seem like a good choice. I'd also be cool with Miles Davis or John Coltrane.
So it was initially between Radiohead and Kanye but I might just have to choose Kanye just because it has a wider range of emotions. Plus if I got his features and his production discography as well I'd be set
the songs from WHA were sooo good live. Old Hymns, Front Row Seats, Sixteen, and Broken Foundation especially.
