Stones because they're awesome and have (approximately) 23049857 albums. Maybe Zeppelin as my 2. The National would work well for the overwhelming sadness of my situation.

It might get me super depressed, but I'd go with Elliott Smith.

Potentially maybe Conor Oberst if it includes all of his bands and iterations. Kevin Devine is a good shout too!

I think I'd go dear hunter.
The color spectrum alone might get me through.

    Radiohead is my other pick

I like that we won't acknowledge Cherone. As it should be. As it should be.

Responded to your tweet with Jimmy Eat World but I could get by with some Weezer too. The Beatles as well.

my gut reaction is Brand New, but then I realized I don't really listen to the first two albums except for a song or two each.

Might go with Copeland for newer/sceneish bands.

Pink Floyd or Zeppelin might win out in the long run, though.

Honestly, I think I'd have to go with JEW as well. I would say Circa Survive, but I think they carry too much weight emotionally for me to only listen to them. Andrew McMahon would also be a good choice if we're including all bands.

Off the top of my head I may choose Thursday. Underoath are my favorite band but thursday has more diversity. If I worried about being too angry I may choose anberlin.

Andrew McMahon, assuming you get full access to bands he's been in - I certainly wouldn't restrict Springsteen pickers to his solo stuff (no E Street). Same with Petty (no Heartbreakers).

But the winner is Motion City Soundtrack. Even though Go is a lowlight, it's STILL a good record. And everything else is ACES. They're the band that's defined my transition from kid to adult life thus far. Plus, I could keep track of their records based on season - IATM for spring, CTTM for summer, EIIKM and GO for fall and MDL/PS for winter.

i would have to go with Ryan Adams since his music is pretty diverse album to album. Plus he has so many singles on top of his albums.

Tough choice but I think I'd have to say Paramore or Fall Out Boy. They both have decently sized and decently varied catalogs and they're two of my all time favorite bands.

Hard pick between D.R.U.G.S. and Deftones.

All jokes aside, Deftones or bust. So much to get into, different moods, and i don't even like Adrenaline.

Probably CSNY if for no reason other than i could never sign off never listening to Suite: Judy Blue Eyes again.
Republic of Wolves, perhaps, for how consistently solid they are. He Is Legend for the diversity and fun.

Hmm that's tough, lots to consider.

Maybe Ryan Adams? I mean dude's got like 15 albums in different genres, though quality dips here and there haha.

I'd also consider The Tragically Hip, they've got a pretty big discography with great lyrics across different styles of music.

Those would be my top choices.

    Honourable mention:
    Every Time I Die
    Third Eye Blind
    John Mayer
    Kanye West
