Thought about it, but in the end my votes are: Spin Ghost It was tough between Brooklyn and Spin. But Spin is probably my most played song on the record. I love the energy it has, the lyrics, the main riff, the breakdown. All just so good. The verses and bridge in Ghost are just great too. They should have kept the extended bridge from the demo, but the song is still amazing regardless.
One of my favorite songs by them. If I could change one thing, I'd make Fred's "Spin! Spin!" At the end more audible on the record. I didn't even know it was there until I saw videos of the song live and he did that, and it's barely on the record(might even be Adam doing it on the studio version it's so far in the background it's hard to tell)
I'm looking forward to the Where You Want To Be voting! My most favorite album of theirs and so many good songs.
Not to derail the Louder Now voting, but I was looking at setlist.fm last night and it looks like they have never played I Am Fred Astaire live. That's hard to believe that they never even played it once! Maybe in 2019 we'll get some WYWTB 15 year dates
Most of the songs I'd want to see most from this band are songs they'll probably never play again. Have they played anything from NA, aside from EMG, since John and Shaun came back?
Mine too. I would love to see them play it at some point or see them rotate songs like Little Devotional and ...Slowdance back into their setlists.
According to setlist.fm... They played Sink Into Me several times in 2010 and 2011 after their return. It looks like they played New Again once in 2010 after their return. It looks like they played Capital M-E once or twice in 2010 after their return. They played Catholic Knees 10 times in 2013. They played Swing once in 2010 after their return. They played Lonely, Lonely once in 2010 after their return and once more in 2013. So to answer your question, yes a few times, but not often.
NA also contains some pretty heavy subject matter for Adam, it's essentially his breakup album and talks a lot of his drug use. I wouldnt be surprised if those are songs he just doesnt wanna revisit anymore.
I saw them play Catholic Knees in 2013 along with 20/20, Best Places, ...Slowdance and Call me in the Morning. 'Twas an awesome night. John sounded great on Catholic Knees Taking Back Sunday Setlist at Sherman Theater, Stroudsburg
Dang that's an awesome set! The stretch at the end with Best Places-180 By Summer-Beat Up Car-Cute Without the E is so great and I would have lost it.
I think it may have been the first time they played "Beat Up Car" too, and they had only played "Flicker Fade" a couple of times at that point but the crowd was really digging both of them.
