Eh perhaps I say this because I hear slight early TBS vibes in the instrumentation, which makes me a bit more forgiving I guess. But yeah I’m not sure the vocals fit the song, at least they sure don’t elevate it.
Like where do they think this band is going to go? It’s hard enough to get people to care about TBS in 2026 let alone a band of former members.

I personally would be so embarrassed if I left a band that had just made an album as great as 152… because I wanted to spend my 50s writing the same kinda pop punk shit I wrote in my 20s. But, maybe that’s just ME.
The suits were whatever. THe best use of suits I've liked in a band is Alkaline Trio going full funeral home worker with the maroon shirts during the Good Mourning era
I do kinda wish people who thought the suits (an extremely normal and pretty lowkey aesthetic choice) were “corny” could explain to me what clothing choice wouldn’t be corny. I don’t even mind “corny” in certain contexts. But, like a lot of TBS things people have very weird opinions on, I don’t get having a strong reaction to those outfits, lol.
Maybe I'm just an old man now. But part of me wishes they'd just be themselves a little bit more. With that being said, I think they want to lead pretty quiet lives and still make a living at this point. Which they deserve. They do way less interviews now, they aren't all over social media personally (John and Adam barely post), and they don't engage with the fan base outside of paid VIPs really. They seem to just be coasting, which is fine.
I'm not sure I agree with coasting, they tour pretty frequently, but I do agree they don't seem to be seeking any kind of rock star limelight or anything. I'm not sure what you mean by "be themselves", they seem to be fairly chill and unassuming these days, family dads who play loud rock shows. I just want someone to say they're working on new music, because 152 was dope, and Fred being back in the fold is also dope. Give me a few more Amphetamine Smiles and Lightbringers, with some shreddy leads, I'm all in.
Amphetamine Smiles has slowly worked its way up as one of my favorite TBS songs. Also bothers me that ITOOWKY doesn't get as much love as others from 152. And as for people calling the suits corny.....does no one remember that they also did a 3 piece suit aesthetic for most of the Louder Now cycle?
Really stoked to see they seem to be playing I'll Let You Live every night of this headlining tour. Seeing the boys on Wednesday.

Can’t believe we’re still talking about this but the 152 suits were tailored and fit. Maybe wearing them every night was corny but the album cover and press when they were wearing them they looked good!
