song is fine. the whisper part was kinda comical to hear, but the music that hits after that makes me think of post-reunion era TBS for sure. and much like TBS historically does, i feel like this song does lean into the bridge quite a bit overall. I don’t think it’s going to be a repeat listen for me, and if this is the song that was meant to pull me into this band, i am not ready to dive into a pre-order yet… gonna wait and PRAY they’ve reworked some of the absolute hits Mark dropped clips of months ago.
it brings me no joy to say this but hahaha I finally listened and that song sucks, Mark and Eddie should just be looking for bands that need a hired gun member instead of doing this.
just saw the boys sound better than i've ever seen them. this setup (three guitars, two second-vocalists, lower tunings) suits them
I'm genuinely so excited to see this lineup and just hope that the fall tour isn't too LN-heavy because of the anniversary.
Just saw that. It sucks. it's one thing to not enjoy Adam's performance style (and I get it, what he does is certainly not for everyone) but the accusations of alcoholism suck for a guy who has been sober for years and makes the choice every day for his family and himself. People should think twice before speculating on that shit. It's obvious that Adam doesn't sound like the records and he makes some creative choices vocally when he's performing live but he is nowhere near the trainwreck people say. I think he's such a fun frontman to watch. You just gotta shed any expectation that it'll be like the albums and just dance and sing along and you'll have a great time. The band sounds GREAT.
Been to probably seven or eight shows. I always have a fucking blast. The dunking on him just strikes me as a weird internet thing but I dunno
I've said it before and I'll say it again but when I saw them play the 152 songs a few years ago, I thought he sounded real good on "Amphetamine Smiles."
You also gotta think like how many times has he sung those songs in his life? Like how many times has he played cute without the e? Doing different or creative choices has to just be out of pure boredom haha
the new songs and newer albums are within his range. the older songs no longer are. also if i hear another “the guitars sound out of tune”. they are playing a step down. christ.
The band sounded great tonight. Really cool to see so many songs I don’t remember ever seeing before including some nice surprises. That said, Adam’s preacher seemed a bit more unhinged today than usual. And the crowd sucked. I was deep in the pit and absolute nobody around me knew any of the words to anything written after 2004. Including most of the LN songs! Basically having a singalong with myself.
i understand the money aspect but i wish they would just do a normal tour in somewhat smaller rooms. starland, electric factory, etc.

Mark has given off nothing but sore loser dirtbag energy the entire time this new band has been in the news. Id love to not read anything about him anymore.
There are 3 ways to go about something like this. 1) take the high road and say nice things. 2) be the bitter ex. 3) say nothing. (what TBS has done). Mark has very much chosen the worst of the 3.

The interview that was posted on the front page was painful. At least the single released isn't, like, bad, but everything else has felt weirdly sloppy coming from guys who have been in the business for 25+ years.
