It really is a tough choice. Better homes has so much raw emotion in it and Flicker, Fade makes me go into a crazy dance fit when I'm by myself. I'm seven tequila shots in and keep going back and forth on both. I've typed this message out five times to correct my drunk spellings.
Score before I head to bed: Flicker, Fade-13 Better Homes And Gardens-12 Look at Better Homes And Gardens with that comeback run! Only one behind. It was down by 7 at one point today.
Glad I got in before the round closed. Better homes and gardens, easy. Flicker is great but BHAG may be a top 3-5 song for them.
Well everyone, time is up. This round has to end, and with one last vote creating quite the conundrum. The scores: Flicker, Fade-13 Better Homes And Gardens-13 This means we have a tie and to break the tie I must cast a vote....this is a hard one I have to listen to these back to back on my way to work and decide. Could go either song. I'll post soon.
Alright, after much deliberation and listening to both songs several times on the way to work it's still a really, really hard pick. I am tempted to go either way but for some reason I have to go with...Better Homes And Gardens. It's just too much of a passionate, emotional song. Flicker Fade is amazing too which makes this one such a hard choice. Plus how can I ruin that come back run from BAG after being 7 points down from the get go. Flicker, Fade-13 Better Homes And Gardens-13(14) This will see Better Homes join You Can't Look Back in the champions bracket, while Flicker Fade has to head to the Wild Card playoff and try again. Self titled is up next, will post it soon. 2 albums down, 5 to go.
Alright everyone, welcome to the TAKING BACK SUNDAY FACE OFF. This will be NCAA style matches, with randomly generated brackets for each album facing off to decide which is the winner of each album. At the end of all of the albums, we'll do a finale Champions Bracket to decide the best overall TBS song. We will start off with Tidal Wave and work our way backwards. Here are the rules: 1. Voting will take place over 10-24 hour period, depending on How close the matches are(if there's a wide margin too far to beat the round may be run ruled to not waste time). 2. You must vote on every match in a round. If you don't your other votes don't count. Jut reply to this thread with your choices. I will not vote unless there is a tie needed to be broken. 3. Feel free to discuss why you chose one song over the other and why you like that song. It's what helps keeps these fun! 4. I avoid byes into rounds if I can, but sometimes it's necessary. These are randomly generated I do not pick them. And with that, let's begin. TAKING BACK SUNDAY FACE OFF SELF TITLED ROUND UP Round 1(Today): --- You Got Me Vs. Sad Savior Faith(When I Let You Down) Vs. Who Are you Anyway? It Doesn't Feel A Thing Like Falling Vs. Best Places To Be A Mom --- Round 2(Tomorrow) El Paso Vs. Winner Of 1 This Is All Now Vs. Money ( Let It Go) Call Me In The Morning Vs. Winner Of 2 Since You're Gone Vs. Winner of 3 ---- Vote to advance your favorites on to the next round! Begin!
I love this album Sad Savior (even though I also love You Got Me. Tough one) Faith Best Places to be a Mom
You Got Me Faith Best Places Also, people like Sad Savior? It's one I will listen to, but tracks 4-6 are the weakest stretch on the album by a large margin.
If Best Places to Be a Mom doesn't win for this album, something is deeply wrong with all of you. You Got Me Faith Best Places I don't honestly care much for this album and rarely revisit it outside of a song or two, so my votes are best guesses based on memory.
I would accept Best Places, This Is All Now, Call Me In The Morning, or Sad Savior It's a very good album
Scores off the bat: You Got Me-3 Sad Savior-4 Faith(When I Let You Down)-5 Who Are You Anyway?-2 It Doesn't Feel A Thing Like Falling-2 Best Places To Be A Mom-5
