God the guitar tone of Louder Now is just perfect. If I was going to start a band, I’d use that as a reference for sure. It just hits so hard. Sounds so human and raw.
I know they're playing shows and active and all, but selfishly I reeeeeally wish we'd hear anything about some new music. I'm all for them taking their time, I just wanna get the hype train going again.
Maybe it's because it took 7 or 8 years to get a new album, but 152 still feels very new to me (and I've played the shit out of it). I don't know, the older I get, the more I hardly notice - or don't mind - long periods of time between albums
Last update was they had no concrete plans yet and would perhaps start writing this year so it's going to be a while. Wouldn't expect anything before late 2027 probably
yeah … these guitar tones are so fucking good lol I don’t think I ever picked out how many little passing notes are played in the verse guitar riffing.
Agreed it would be nice to get some new music. I have a feeling some things need to settle legally with Mark. This band doesn't show any signs of slowing down on playing shows, but I'd love to get one more record out of them before they just do nothing but tour forever.
Just realized, Mark, the new band he started (ME) and that woman who was always with Mark/posting about them...have all pretty much been radio silent for the last 9-10 months.
I was genuinely intrigued by that band. Even though everything was cringey and weird, the music snippets in the videos sounded kind of cool.
They just sounded like any generic rock progressions to me. The singer and lyrics would really make or break it, and hoo boy they would have to be amazing to overcome the amount of cringe they've generated so far.
