Whoa! This Bayside chatter is worse than the New Again/Self-Titled takes.

Bayside has been one of the better, most consistent bands of the past 25 years who also still sound exceptional live.

I never got into Bayside much besides 2-3 songs, and I heard those songs first because I saw Bayside opening for other bands multiple times lol. They’re by far the band I’ve seen the most without actually trying to see. Seen them open for Alkaline Trio and TBS multiple times im pretty sure haha

    would enjoy that tour.

Also John is sharing video of them performing Cute Without the E with Halsey singing John’s parts

Bayside is a cool band, but one of the most musically stagnant in the scene, most of their music lives within a pretty limited musical space

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

The thing Mark shared of his gf/manager being like “the magic they create and the energy in the room…” or whatever the fuck was weird. Like yes I know she’s supposed to be hyping the project up but wtf are we supposed to do with this info? Also why has no one told them that ME is a terrible band name?

Tidal Wave turns 10 in September which is weird to think about, but also it brings me back to how hyped I was about music back then. Saosin, Thrice, ETID, The Hotelier and TBS all had great albums that year. The Menzingers released “Lookers” as a single that summer. I got to see Frank Turner and Flogging Molly in Asbury Park as well as the Taste of Chaos Tour in Philly. I got to see 3 Brian Fallon shows on his solo tour(s) that year after he released “Painkillers”. Goddamn.

Anyways, “Tidal Wave” was/is still mostly great and I appreciate the band having the guts to play that album front to back for its release because they believed in it so much.

Fucking love Halsey. “For My Last Trick” was such a great show last year. These videos of Adam performing with them are so cool. (Also he still looks so good.)

Wasn't a huge Halsey fan before the tour but listening to the discography again before going to the show (it was close to my house, I thought why not) made me a major fan.

i was all excited to see this news this morning and then remembered how annoying the internet has become.

it's become very cool to hate Adam. the comments here are so frustrating. if i were him i'd never be able to go online.

i've also noticed this with a few other acts, notably Justin Timberlake. it's just cool to write whatever you want and tear people down.

Halsey rocks, especially those last two albums.
Still bummed I missed the For My Last Trick show last summer.

Oh when I saw John share hte video I didn't realize it was Halsey show and not a TBS show haha, that's even cooler. I wonder what the ratio of Halsey fans that knew the song/TBS vs didn't was. I know from what I've read she's had a lot of influence form the 2000s emo and did that song with MGK and etc.

Halsey was perhaps the most popular "alt pop" artist on tumblr back in the 2010s, along with Lana Del Rey and Sky Ferreira. Alt pop and emo/alt music had a huge crossover market on there, so it makes sense to me. (Source: I had some tumblr friends in middle and junior high school.)

It was a bestie who was a Tumblr girlie that got me on my big Halsey kick the past couple years.

Though with respect to everyone who grew up with Badlands (those songs did pop off real good last summer), the last couple albums are far and away their best to me. Especially If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.

I guess there’s a bunch of Brand New influences in their songwriting over the years, but I’d put that band behind me by the time I got obsessed with Halsey, so whatever. Just glad they brought out Adam instead of, like, fucking Jesse Lacey, lol.

True, Dog Years may be the most BN influenced song I've ever heard lol

I listened to that song a surprising amount last year, lol. So, maybe I am still the same kinda melodramatic sad bitch at heart that I was when I’d listen to TDAG all the time!

I think Halsey has yet to release a good album in full, each one has great tracks and bad tracks, I would probably keep about half of each album

It was my favorite song off there. I mean better to listen to something BN-ish than the actual band I guess haha

TBS has the bigger pop appeal and gets the crowd hyped up, so it makes sense. And they're also way less controversial.
For me it's The Great Impersonator. "Ego", "Lonely is the Muse", and especially "Panic Attack" give me the chills every time I listen to them. They're legendary songs.

“Lonely is the Muse” is a big one for me for sure. Such a cool song imo. The song before and after it, too. Great sequence there.

“I Believe in Magic,” too. That one makes me tear up sometimes, lol; love me some sentimentality now and then.

I will understand, but will be disappointed if they announce a tour with Bayside.

They are for sure a "good band" and I got no beef with them, but I've never clicked with enough of their music to care, and like many others, have seen them open on shows over the years and they aren't really fun live.

I'm just excited to find out how the Fred and John dynamic plays out and if they'll both be on tour together.

That video with Halsey was great. Adam looked like he was having a blast. But yeah that post from The Noise is a real bummer in the comments.

Man all this Bayside talk bums me out. I am a huge fan of Bayside and have seen them many times and absolutely love them, but I also have seen TBS many times and love them. I would be stoked for a tour with the both of them. I guess I have never seen the Bayside fans are assholes stigma in my hometown personally, I wont discount what other people have seen in other places.
