October 2023 seems like five years ago for me and January 2025 seems like two years ago. So much has happened since...

152 is one of those late-period records in a band's career that has absolutely no business being as good as it is. And I am also a massive Tidal Wave defender as well, so I was even more pleasantly surprised that they could still pull it off following that one.

Yea that’s the thing about 152, it just felt so refreshing for the band. I also like Tidal Wave and think TBS in general has never made the same record twice. But it sounds like both a call back and something completely new for them. Almost like a debut record with that youthful creative energy.

I'm sure things have soured a little now, post-everything that happened with Mark, but I also really liked the energy surrounding the 152 release. They did a couple of smaller shows where they played it in its entirety, and it seemed like they were really excited about it. It really felt like they were finally doing something to back up the constant "we don't want to be a nostalgia band" statements.

They did an entire tour for Tidal Wave too where they played smaller than usual venues and played TW front to back.

Exactly. I think it's the outro on Juice 2 Me where you could imagine exactly how they would've done it on like the self titled album, but they did something that sounds way fresher

Jesus, Adam lost a ton of weight. He’s as thin as he was during the early years.

  11. I can't remember the last time I listened to Louder Now in full. I am doing so right now and it mostly rules. I'm on "I'll Let You Live" right now, which isn't one of my favorites, but overall, this has been really enjoyable.

Man, that tour was fun too. I saw them at Revolution on Long Island (which I don't even think is there anymore). Crazy to think that that was nearly ten years ago at this point.

Yeah I'll Let You Live is a top 3 song on LN for me. Though it wasn't in the beginning

I bought tickets for night 1 of their Long Island holiday shows and am now realizing I have a work event that night. Anyone with night 2 tickets who'd like to swap? Or anyone wanna just buy my night 1 tickets?

I’ve never really enjoyed Louder Now beyond MakeDamnSure and My Blue Heaven. That’s actually why I have mixed feelings about Fred possibly becoming a full-time member for a future album: Where You Want To Be is my favorite Taking Back Sunday record, while Louder Now sits near the bottom of my ranking. Plus, I’d love to see the next step after 152 happen in a more “natural” way.

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

Eddie was apparently the master behind all of their best bridges when he was in the band (e.g. 180 By Summer), but yeah…Keep Going’s bridge is incredible. Fuck, I love a good bridge.
