Oh for sure, especially from Mark’s end for the rest of the band to basically be like “we’re not even gonna dignify this situation at all”
The band not acknowledging Mark is still so funny to me. Fred coming back would have never happened with Mark still around. Goodbye to that man
With all of the drama and little communication they've had over the years, I was very surprised and impressed with that video announcement. Aside from the meme on instagram this week, I thought it was really great and not like them to just sit down and speak openly about how it all came together. Props to them. Of course I'm giving them a pass on the lack of any Mark/Eddie talk because I feel like legal implications/negotiations are the biggest driver of that whole thing?
Imagine being a very casual fan of this band and all the whiplash that has occurred over the years. I imagine there will be tons of people who will show up to the tour unaware of this announcement and be SUPER confused as to what's going on lol
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, but I love this little TBS community on this site.
Didn't see this posted but the YouTube version has additional paragraphs by John and Fred in the description Hope John and his family are okay. The rest of the guys as well because it's been quite a difficult era to navigate. Putting out a new album for the first time in 7 years and their first without Eddie, Mark going through whatever he was going and turning on them, then this... there must be a lot of hurt in their camp and I feel for them. I may be looking too far ahead but if Fred ends up staying and playing on future stuff, it could pretty much be a rebirth for the band.
I’m so bummed I’m missing this tour now. They’re hitting Philly the same night I’m seeing Nine Inch Nails.
"For years, the Band released studio albums, performed various tours, and lived with little to no turmoil, except for the departure of the Band’s founding guitarist, Eddie Reyes" LOL
Good luck with that! Isn’t defamation supposedly really hard to prove because you have to be able to prove it was malicious? Also feels like a bold choice to make considering everything his friends were saying in his Instagram comments this winter.
The lawsuit is about things the band (allegedly) said privately to friends and family? Didn't realize you could sue over that. Short of a recording or testimony of those parties seems like a reach.
their manager's last name is newman, but maybe you mean it should clearly say nolan instead of newman twice
lmao this whole thing reads like it was written by mark's blondeshell manager, its just like 'heres a wiki page of all da drama' is this how mark and eddie plan to fund the new album?
