Anyone an expert on what exists (for recordings including live ones) from the post TAYF pre WYWTB era other than Follow the Format? They definitely played a new song when I saw them on that tour and I've always wondered how many there were and if any ended up on the album. I don't believe the one I saw did but I could be wrong.
Follow the format is a top ten TBS song for me and probably even close to a Top 5. Criminal that it never made it to an album.
TBS is playing with Say Anything on LI in a week or so, so safe to assume that would be the first one? He’d probably pull double duty.
Promo shots with Fred! made me kind of emotional to see actually I don't think he's playing with them tomorrow
Listening to 152 which is a blind spot for me, and really enjoying it. Getting very pumped for the tour. (Also want to clarify one thing as a response to a DM I received: I am a new dad with barely enough time to breathe. I have NEVER posted on reddit. Yes I have read reddit a few times, especially during the Mark crash-out, but I don't have an account there. If there is someone pretending to be me or posting the things I say here, they are NOT me.) It's gonna be a fun couple months. See you all at the shows!
I hear ya Lenny, but what does Fred think about 152 (and all the other post-Fred tbs albums)? I'll hang up and listen.
i'll give this a shot, I'm removing "Error: Operator" though. that one should've stayed on the Fantastic Four soundtrack.
As a kid, I often dreamed of a duet between Fred and Jade Puget. Both have similar playing styles when they go apeshit during solos, and got me onto guitar tapping.
Honestly no clue. Despite what it may sound like I barely know the guy and he is not my "source". My guess is he likes some of it but is so diplomatic he would never reveal what he doesn't like
Add Ray Toro in there and baby you’ve got a stew goin’. In all seriousness though, Fred’s open string pull-off melodies/solos (Bonus Mosh, Little Devotional, Spin, Error, etc.) influenced my playing in a big way.
did this today and flowed really well! is there any articles or info why they decided against leaving those 2 bsides off the album? Like what swayed them? I have nothing against "Up Against" but was very funny for it to come up 2nd on shuffle as this playlist ended
random question but does anyone have Louder Now on vinyl and want to swap it for the Vinyl Me Please pressing of Where You Want To Be? shoot me a PM if so.
