TIL Timberwolves wasn't the lead single. And according to Wikipedia, it wasn't a single at all. I definitely thought that was their first music video
not sure which show you bought tix for but the first show I'm confident saying Fred will for sure play is Aug 16 in St Louis
even if this song wasn’t a lead single, it should’ve been a single in general. They totally fucked up by not releasing it. It’s the most Taking Back Sunday sounding best sounding song they’ve ever done off that album
Their first music video was Great Romances. Timberwolves was their second and it was just a video for some Victory Records sample disc. I got confused too considering they play it live so much.
This album was so ahead of its time. Listening to it in the present day and feeling the relevance of so much of it is crazy.
Ah appreciate you clarifying. Kind of funny tho, if you watch both videos Timberwolves definitely has that low budget first video vibe lol
This song was the “they’ve still got it” moment of that album. All the best elements of TAYF but more refined.
I feel like "Great Romances" has a first video vibe too, even though it seems to have be made on at least twenty more dollars. Interestingly enough, it looks like that video is the only TBS video to be shot on film (you can tell by the presence of grain in some of the darker colors). The video for "This Photograph" may have been partially shot on film too but I'm not entirely sure, it looks pretty digital to me. If anyone can clarify this for me, feel free to!
I got a real bone to pick with whoever decided This is Happening shouldn’t make the actual tracklist of Happiness Is. It’s so good.
Mark goes off on that song. So great. I actually would’ve preferred it as the album closer over “Nothing At All”
I’ve been listening to 152 for the first time in a while. It still holds up so well. Juice 2 Me is even better than I remembered.
I will say, listening back to 152 makes me more sad about the situation with Mark. What he’s released solo has been rough but the man brings it on the drums on this record. When those drums come in for I’m The Only One Who Knows You it really takes the whole song to another level.
