I genuinely wonder if they even tried to find other established bands to play for/tour with before embarking on this new project, which basically has no hope of going anywhere unless they can recruit someone with some cred to sing. I realize I sound really negative about this, but this is not looking promising and their behavior has just been so weird.
Apparently it's nearly impossible to change a verified account's handle, which could explain Mark not changing it (though Eddie isn't verified, so this doesn't explain it) but I also don't think they would change it if they could, since they seem to think they'll have a lot of success pushing the "sounds like original tbs" angle. Wild to drop an official Instagram like this without any posts on it, but there are...six? Follow the Money "brand" related accounts. Interesting priorities for this group here.
Every guitar riff Mark posts is the most basic shit ever lol Saving the good stuff for us to hear later I guess
It's wild how generic these riffs are. I met Fazzi once after a show and complimented him on the Swing riff. He was like "thanks man but that was all Mark" To go from that to this. Dude fell off hard
That's interesting because I could've sworn I read an interview where Fazzi said he wrote the Swing riff as an homage to Fred's guitar work.
This was like 2012-2013ish so it's been quite awhile. I'm pretty confident it was Swing, but it was in a loud club so he might have misheard me. It definitely does sound like a Fred riff
I would never purposefully do this If the Fred-TBS tour ends up not happening it means things fell apart during the negotiation process and I will be as disappointed as everyone else
The band name is honestly just stupid because it's going to be hard to google. Not great for marketing tbh. Same issue as the tv show "From."
What does Fazzi does on the musical side these days? It’s been a while since the last Rare Futures release
first happy body slow brain album went so hard. Saw them once during that time and saw him play with a great big pile of leaves. Great times.
I was really hoping he would be playing with GBPOL when they opened for The Starting Line at the holiday show, but alas, no Fazzi. Hope he's doing great though.
"They're gonna wish they were in a band with us again" oh my god, when I tell you how hard I cringed hearing that
