They announced their Coheed tour after Mark announced he was out. To be honest, I don’t think they’ll ever address it - which will be even funnier.
That’s what I mean. Like they announced the tour so tickets can sell, it they aren’t out playing any shows at the moment, right? I agree, I don’t think they’ll address it and definitely not when they’re just chillin at home.
I don’t see the point in addressing it. For the fans that are really paying attention (here) it’s clear what happened, if you’re not paying that close of attention you can probably still use deductive reasoning and draw an accurate conclusion, & if you’re not paying attention at all you’ll go to the shows and probably not notice.
I really don't get caring about the band addressing it publicly. Mark talked crazy shit for weeks and then released some cleaned up PR statement. Clearly they addressed it behind the scenes and that's that
I confess I’m still really curious about what went down with that show he was supposed to be playing with Eddie at 2pm on a Friday.
The post had said music video and show, then it never happened for some reason that I figure had something to do with it being during the week at 2pm and/or not having permits. I noticed that about Mark/his manager and found it very interesting that they've been pretty quiet recently after nearly a month of nonstop posting. But when they were posting, I had noticed they and all their friends were wearing a variety of Mark O'Connell/follow the money sweatshirts, and I do have to wonder how much money they spent getting that may colorways and designs printed.
long Island peeps: TBS, Say Anything, Gym Class Heroes, Head Automatica first night of the GSB Music Festival July 24th
If Fred is still playing with Say Anything, I suspect we will get another Fred moment during the set.
I can't tell if this is a joke or not? But I have a feeling that if Nathan isn't an "official" member by now vs. just a touring musician, it's likely something that they've discussed and he's chosen not to be a part of? I can't imagine him sticking around for about 15 years otherwise. Apart from Quit Trying (I think, I could have the song wrong), he hasn't really been involved with the writing/recording process, so I don't know if there's really a need for him to be all that involved in promo photos etc. Do other bands typically post promo photos with their long term touring musicians?
it is a joke. I assume (or hope) he is fine and happy with whatever arrangement they have, since he continues to hang with them. But the dude is super talented and it would be cool to see him just brought on as a full member at this point.
#028 - Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday) Fringe podcast with some rad drummers in the scene. Some good talk about Fred and Adam burying the hatchet in the back half. Haven’t followed TBS since Louder Now and i’m vaguely aware of all the drama with members leaving in the last couple of years. Adam seems like a really sincere dude in a good place right now. I had no idea Fucking Whatever was a thing. Digging it. Always wanted to hear Adam in other creative projects.
adam's regular speaking voice is so crazy different than his on stage voice these days lmao it took me like 5 minutes into this podcast to realize he was one of the ones talking, i was waiting for them to introduce him lol
lol they reference that because they goof around for like 15 minutes before they intro Adam. the pod is very irreverent. i love it.
Big shit when everyone is dying to know how he will be involved and Adam essentially says “he’s always been really important to me and I let attention get in the way of his place in my life, it’s good to have that back.”
adam seems to have done a lot of growing up over the years. he's a great listen in podcasts like this.
I’ve pretty much only heard singles post New Again. Where do I start? i’m intrigued after the interview. I’ve literally heard nothing from 152 and probably only the singles from the last couple john and shaun albums.
