From Matchbook Romance, right? I remember him being from Matchbook Romance.

In that oral history they did back in 2011, I remember Mark saying he took that summer off because of his back (did he have a slipped disc or something?) and being convinced he would be kicked out (at Fred's doing) and was surprised when Fred left instead.

 

Some of the ig posts from Mark's camp lately are......something. The one about him and Eddie reconciling mentioned they needed a "talking stick" like it was lord of the flies.

 

Looking at Mark and Eddie's posts make me uncomfortable in general for reasons I can't explain.

Seeing Linkin Park, MCR and TBS in one show.. hell of a time

What was really cool is we were at the Mansfield Xfinity Center in Mass, and by the time MCR came on, there weren't many people in the upper seats under the roof of the stadium, so security just let us leave the grassy GA area in the back and head on down to the seats

 

That was my reaction when Mark shared the clip of that song about his kids w/ pics of him and his daughter but not his son. Not that that means anything. It was just weird after weeks of seeing people in their subreddit claiming he’s estranged from his son.

 

Yeah, there’s an uptick in photos he’s reshared from his manager of him and his daughter talking about him being a dad but I couldn’t tell you the last time he mentioned/posted his son. I hope for their sake, it’s just something like his son being at an age where he doesn’t want photos taken of him or something and not just signs of the rougher things people were saying.

Something about that song snippet caption in particular felt very…performative but I don’t know if it’s just because it very much read like somebody else wrote it. Maybe his manager is doing social media work for him because the lengthy post captions don’t sound like Mark and there was a shift to a slightly more “positive” messaging (vs. the truth WILL come out and name calling) and that’s why it felt off though. Just…very interesting in that neck of the woods.

Eddie’s teenaged son getting involved is also bizarre

 

Whaaaat? That’s sad.

 

Yeah it looks like Mark just approved the collab post from him on the Instagram. Something about Eddie and Mark signing copies of TBS vinyl and CDs and him crossing out the band name is very funny to me in a sad sorta way.

 

I listened to the "Kids" clip on Mark's IG and if you told me that he was covering a Nickelback song I'd believe it.

Edit: Nickelback is better.

 

"Kids" sounds like if Daniel Johnston fronted Coldplay

 

I feel confident that Mark is using ChatGPT to write these captions. The one about reconnecting with Eddie had a TON of ChatGPTisms.

 

Somebody start a new thread only about mark and Eddie.

 

Why, so we can get back to more important things like how New Again is a great album?

Also, it made me laugh because I saw the post Eddie made on IG talking about working with Mark again and the first comment said “when do we get Fazzi and Rubano involved?” And Eddie liked it. I remember Eddie not mincing words in the AP oral history about Fazzi lol
