Eddie's a solid player, and Mark is too for that matter. I think what we're finding out is both guys need to write with others to maximize their talents.

Or at least Mark does, not sure what Eddie's solo stuff sounds like. But Mark's ain't it, lol

Does anyone know what was removed on Reddit regarding this post about Mark/Eddie? Looks like about 14 comments were either deleted or removed regarding Mark.

Such is the case with most people who go off and do side-projects when they aren’t the primary songwriter/composer. TBS works because its the sum of its parts with all different personalities and influences. Straylight Run worked because John is primarily a songwriter who just so happens to play guitar and piano very well.

 

Someone named “Mel” was looped into the thread. No idea who that is but they said they’re really trying to not get involved for the sake of their son and that if they wanted to they could spill a whole bunch of tea, and that “Stormie Peach” person was going off on another “Mark is a monster and a narcissist who has a hurt a lot of people” tangent. That’s all I saw then the whole thing got deleted and the Mod said to leave members of the band’s personal lives out this going forward or risk getting banned.

I didn't get to see it but it's probably that stormie_peach person obsessing over Mark

Rubano once said on a podcast that the whole story of the band and the intertwining stories of the individual members and everyone that’s ever been in the band’s orbit is a crazy one, and I feel like he wasn’t kidding about that.

 

i hesitate to even bring it up because of how little info there ever really was but, werent there abuse allegations about eddie like, maybe 5 or 6 years ago? and he basically "crazy ex gf'd" it all away? is this her?

 

maybe longer than that, because it was when he was still in the band i believe.

I feel like that was after he was out of TBS cause I don't remember it coming up as a problem the band may have to deal with, but not positive

 

Three-hour “History of the Eagles”-style doc about this band is something I would watch.

 

Nah, this needs to go full Beatles Anthology. Start at the very first formation and build up from there, with insight into every album and the bigger shows/tours, all drama and fallout, and it coincides with a B-sides collection or new album with all past members or something.
