I wish Straylight would put their 3 Track EP from 2007 on streaming. Their rendition of “Peach Plum Pear” is one of my all-time favourite covers

Just threw on Louder Now for the first time in a while and it still holds up very well.

I’ve asked John about this and it’s out of their hands and up to the label, unfortunately

Years ago I bought New Again on vinyl for $14. Just unwrapped it tonight and spun it for the first time.

I don't get what you guys have against the Elektra version, it's really not that bad. I actually love it.

Been a while since I read about the history of New Again.

Forgot that Summer, Man was originally written while Fred was still in the band.

Also, an early title of New Again was originally “When All Is Said and Done More is Said Than Done”

That would have been a much better title tbh.

Where My Mouth Is was originally 6-7 minutes long.

Looking at the vinyl notes tonight, Eric Valentine is thanked for being an idea man and an inspiration - despite not producing.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

is the Elektra version of Disaster the one that's a bonus track on some versions of WYWTB? cos that's legit my favourite version lol

Didn’t know there were two versions but I rediscovered that song this past summer and let me tell you I had an emotional evening. Such a great TBS cut

I knew there were multiple versions but I wasn’t sure which one I deferred to so I went back and listened to them all.

Orensanz is the one I listen to the most.

Unequivocally based. I wish those videos weren't just available on 2 pixels.

The elektra version has like a whole extra minute of Adam just making noises that I guess are words, and it’s missing John’s vocals. I think it’s a better quality recording but the weird vocal effects are just not it.

Oh, yeah. I can understand that.
Also, update: I went to the record store and they had zero TBS records. I did, however, find the Notes From the Past CD, which has the Elektra version of YOD on it so that's pretty funny.
