If a possible Fred return means a possible addition of Brooklyn to the setlist, I’ll be a very happy boy. I don’t think they’ve played it since Fazzi was in the band.

Imo it has Adam's greatest vocal performance...at least for the first half of their discography, Everything Must Go and The Stranger can't be ignored.

They both have a couple great early albums, and then a bunch of complete horse shit, with a couple great songs mixed in here and there.

imagine every member of this band being on good terms... recording a live record like orensanz together

would be a really cool way to celebrate such a long run, but i have a better chance of winning a million dollars

ps: i really don't like the offspring. i don't know when or how it happened. self esteem came on recently and i thought, "wow i don't think i've ever enjoyed listening to this band."

I love their song Islands of the Sun! Reminds me of the early 2000s, great band! Shame they never got more popular. He seems like a nice guy.

 

There's no way this is a Weezer song because it's an offspring song

 

If my friend had a Chorus account I'm sure he'd be avidly defending The Offspring right now, he strongly dislikes Weezer.

Weezer and The Offspring were like, 2 of my top 3 favourite bands as a teenager (the other being Smashing Pumpkins)

When I listen to the Offspring these days, most of my enjoyment is nostalgia-based. Sure, they have plenty of solid tunes, but I’d hesitate to call more than a handful of them legitimately great music. Their songs excelled as a soundtrack for my angsty youth, but not far beyond that

Much of Weezer still holds up for me (though far more musically than lyrically), and it’s not uncommon for me to discover new things to enjoy upon revisiting their songs. And while Weezer does suffer from a glut of output that contains many duds, it’s also not hard to find plenty of gems, even in their post-’00s catalogue

 

I still throw them on occasionally but it is 100% nostalgia driven. Still, they were a huge part of my life as a teen.

I’d say their last solid album was Rise and Fall but I largely still prefer what came before.

 

The last Offspring song I enjoyed was Slim Pickins Does the Right Thing. But I think that was 12 years ago

Weezer on the other hand are still killing it. Ok Human, Van Weezer and Winter all came out within the last 5 years and all are killer

I know saying "hi Mark" at Mark-defending accounts has become a meme on TBS reddit but this actually sounds like Mark:

This music is from his heart not a business stand point. Opinions are valued. Judgment is not . Individuality makes for easy targets. With an anonymous platform how is it still manage to create an environment that values conformity ? Singling out the isolated and trying to make them feel bad for not being part of the group And since you love to say marks not a singer and those guys in that company he owns 25% aren’t capable of supporting others . Heres a challenge . Find one Instance where that frontman might be considered a singer (live) . His voice thru a microphone out an amp sounding good. What are you comparing ? Are you trying to say that that guy is a singer ? What are your beliefs about what a singer is now ? You are unnecessarily trying to cut someone down. You guys can cut it out already , marks not a bad guy. He has friends.. We’ve been friends for 39 years . We’ve also been friends with Shaun for 39 years . All types of jobs,none in entertainment and none of us are grown up . We will continue to encourage our friend mark to create and encourage our friend Shaun to let us all know what happened or at least try to explain . He can Tell us we are not friends and we never were or he can say he’s sorry and we will try to understand . Just please say something to the people that would actually have your back .
