Could be that the Coheedlining tour didn't work out and they're hopping on someone else's arena tour as a support act. I'll poke around for info next week when I see my man on the inside
I just wanna see some more TBS this year. I’m still buzzing from the second Mulcahy’s show last month. One of the best setlists I’ve seen from TBS in recent memory. Those two Long Island shows really reignited my love for the band lately, even with all this dumb shit going on. However not looking forward to paying arena prices to see them. I totally respect Coheed, I’ve seen them a few times (including their last time out with TBS and they also opened for MCR in 2022) but I’m just not super into them aside from a couple songs. Would prefer it be The Offspring actually. If it’s a C-market tour that’s fine, those cities are usually much more affordable to travel to and the tickets aren’t as ungodly expensive.
Aren't there like 2 van halens and 2 judas priests too? Marc o connel, antonio longio, matt fazzi bout to form an alternate tbs
Since most of the dumb shit is from people online, it was so easy to not even notice it at these shows. This band’s audience isn’t really comprised of the Online crowd, so yeah, I bet most people there didn’t even know there was something going on. The energy of those shows (particularly the second Mulcahy’s) was so good. I want to get back to that.
Actually confirmed: TBS is going on tour with Yo Gabba Gabba and every person from the TBS universe with every person playing a different instrument for every song
I’ve been three years in a row now and they’re just so much fun. I much prefer Mulcahy’s over Starland but that’s just me. They usually break out some deep cuts at those shows too (wasn’t really the case in 2023 but that was right after 152 was just released)
At least three years now they’ve been peer pressured by the crowd at Starland to play a song not on the setlist. This year they did no I in team
This is interesting because I much prefer Starland. But I don’t care for muls as a venue. And I would say that 2023 playing half the new album (with different songs off it) felt like as much as a treat as some of the deeper cuts
Adam"s new Instagram Story post--he wants nothing to do with the drama lol. Good for him, don't feed the troll.
For me at the time I loved the 2023 holiday set because it was my first time seeing the 152 songs. The rest felt pretty standard, but then basically that core setlist became the 2024 setlist too so I got tired of it. I think this past years was great since they broke out some random ones and retired some of the constant mainstays. I hope they continue to do that in 2025. I’m ok with songs like Tidal Wave getting a break. I also just feel Adam is at his best on night 1 of a 4-night run. If I go to the Muls shows, getting to Sayreville from LI is such a hassle. But I’m not local to either area so my opinion is skewed.
That’s fair. Starland is inconvenient as hell to get to without your own transportation. I think the crowd is a just a bit different at Starland, and it lends itself to really good vibes, but I like when the crowd moves a bit more and I know that maybe not everybody does. yeah, now that you mention it, the 2023 setlist did mostly become the 2024 summer setlist, but at the time I was like “oh wow they’re playing this many new songs!” I could do without tidal wave the song. I really enjoyed getting call come running and beat up car this year though.
Mulcahys has the most bizarre layout. Those two huge pillars in front of the stage makes sightlines terrible, and the two bars being right in the middle make it hard for crowd movement.
