When I thanked them at the meet and greet for 152, Adam seemed as genuinely appreciative as I've seen anyone, it was awesome.
I didn't remember this being the case (definitely was not with my circle of friends), so decided to read the Wikipedia page for the album to see some quotes from critics, and I wanna fight all of these dorks. WYWTB ruled then and rules now.
YUP, the majority of long timers from AP.net dragged it too. It was not very popular to like or call it the better of the two albums. Such a great album though, I go back to it the most of all their stuff.
when WYWTB came out, i remember me and my circle of friends instantly loving it. then eventually i went online to see the bigger response and people were constantly shitting on that album and from there i stayed silent on admitting i liked it, lmao.
I feel like people mostly liked WYWTB when it came out? It was definitely seen as not as good overall (which it isn’t lol) but there were a lot of positive feelings for the best songs on it.
First TBS album I bought was a compilation from Walmart around the time of Louder Now which, at the time, I didn’t realize was a compilation. Thought the whole thing was great. Then as I got more familiar with the rest of the songs from each album I realized WYWTB was so much better. Outside of ghost man on third and 1 or 2 more it’s a landslide. So that’s about as scientific as possible an album ranking can be.
whatever that IG post was is gone... (also, gotta put my two cents in to say i still think Tidal Wave is their best record)
This WWWY Sunday performance started so badly that we left to see another band. Adam seems very drunk.
