152 is the best TBS record. WYWTB is a close second, but I think the edge goes to 152. Not a single miss on it.
Was gonna say that this happened to me too, although I listened to Thursday's two biggest albums before I got into TBS. What really got me into the band, I shit you not, was watching the "MakeDamnSure" video because I thought Adam looked cute in the thumbnail. And then I listened to Louder Now. And then I watched this old old video of the band hosting Warped Tour Weekend in 2004. And then I got Tell All Your Friends on CD, got tickets for the Summer Gods Tour, listened to TAYF, and then went to the concert and fell in love. Oh, and I met Mark and Adam, too. They were super nice. And then I fell into the rabbit hole and became a real fan.
I thought the same thing but it’s possible they aren’t aware not sure how much traction it got. Still sucks
If I recall correctly, Quinn took to Twitter or Reddit or something like that heavily implying that Bert abused him while in The Used. Others may be able to clarify
Dude’s gone above and beyond the call of duty for 14 years now and co-wrote “Quit Trying”. He deserves it.
I had such (unfounded and unrealistic) high hopes that this would happen for a WYWTB 20th show/tour, but looks like we'll be waiting until the Louder Now 20th.
I think Fred working with TBS is a ship that has sailed. He left the band of his own accord due to whatever reasons he had, and they’ve moved on and seem to be happy without him. He was in the band for…4 years and has since been out of the band for close to 17. He seems to be fine with his choice to be in Say Anything. as for tbs touring with the used, I’m going out on a limb here and saying that as a group of 40-45 year old men who have families, they do not spend that much time online (John is the only one who even semi-regularly posts on instagram or Twitter about things that aren’t related to the band) and therefore likely do not know about any allegations. If I didn’t have friends who kept up with the used, I would have missed it entirely and, even then, if you didn’t know the name of Bert’s book or whatever, the implication is very vague.
The only person likely to play in TBS again is Eddie, and even that seems like a real long shot at this point.
RE Bert allegations: Yeah, that makes sense. Sometimes I need to get my head out of the Internet echochamber. It gets dark in there. (Even if I didn't actually read the allegations, I just heard about them and expected Bert to be ~cancelled~ at this point.)
There’s no real concrete description of his allegations since Quinn’s book isn’t out yet. But the gist is apparently that Bert is a mean drunk. Details will be in the book, supposedly, so we’ll see how it goes for ol’ Bob once the cat is out of the bag.
