What's to justify? Thursday rules, it's literally Thor's day. You have all of the anticipation of the weekend, the week is basically over, you get a football game to watch, you're not as exhausted as on Friday, and it has the better band named after it. Sunday is usually a day of chores, plus having to mentally prepare for the week ahead while you're already tired from the week before and the fun of Saturday, plus when you're out trying to get shit done you have to deal with all of the fucking church traffic.
I can’t in good conscience argue with anything you just said, but Saturday and Sunday will always automatically be one and two for me by virtue of not having to go to work. Also, I’m exhausted every day, so Friday > Thursday for me because at least the work week is ending. Thursday is just another day for me
Sunday rules because I go to church. Though, Tuesday through Thursday are probably my favorite trio of days. On the T’s, I go to a job with lots of cool friends and work with kids that I love. And, Wednesdays are where I hang out with a couple cool people at a comic shop every week to talk fun shit. Fridays are last ‘cause I work a nine-hour day.
Friday night and Saturday are the best times of the week because you can just relax, stay up late, and not worry about having to work the next day. Sundays consist of me being annoyed I have to go to bed early that night.
I used to skip Blue Channel all the time and then one day it clicked for me. The whole rawness of losing young love, that bridge/outro is just so good
that whole “regardless, my pictures” part is sooooo cringy high school but in a great raw Olivia rodrigo way haha
I like emo/rock music more than pop so I’ll never agree to that, but part of why I love a lot of her songs is so many of the lyrics would sound right at home on some of these bands’ first albums in the early 2000s with some slight tweaks haha
I'm not about to rank TBS vs Olivia but Love Is Embarrassing is an all timer. I just can't get into her ballads at all. If that album had been all rock it'd probably make my top 10
Love is Embarrassing is just so good. That’s one of the songs that definitely has lyrics fit for an emo album in 2002 lol
Ha! Maybe it’s just where I live, but if you turn left off my street on the main road through our neighborhood there is each of a Mormon, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, and Episcopal church within about a half mile. But even back in Chicago that Sunday Catholic church traffic made it a pain to get through the neighborhood.
Then NA aside - how is it cursed? First three records are universally loved amongst their fan base so…? Unless S/T is your number one. I mean that record is really something huh? Lol
