I think the vocals fit the song really well. I don't mind that I can't make out most of the time, once I know them I won't think of it again. That's how it was with Demon And Division on Alkaline's last album. Had no idea what the chorus was at first lol
It’s a boring video. I see much more done with much less and this is the first video for their first album in 7 years - would have liked to see a bit more?
it’s a really fun and energetic performance video and besides it’s the second music video from this album
I’m liking the song and video. His voice sounds fine on the recording to me…or at least the same as the Tidal Wave era. They honestly haven’t been very big in several years so wasn’t expecting much as far as the video goes.
The fact that TBS is even putting out two videos before the album comes out is great. Backyard show is a fine idea for one. How much are we expecting TBS to spend on music videos in 2023 lol
I'm just happy they hired a creative director to manage their look and all the videos, photos, art, etc. You can tell. Well worth the investment.
yeah anyone remember how much the videos for the s/t sucked incredible amounts of ass for the most part?
i remember the el paso video basically being what this is but i cant stand the song so i never really watched it. the Faith video was so weird, it was about like, a famous cat and his social media?
Part of it was I think Warner had written them off at that point? Happiness was a little lackluster too, but hopeless really dropped the ball with them. You can’t look back / call come running we’re handled by djay Brawner who is their creative director for this release according to his Instagram: it also seems like fantasy records is kind of invested in pushing them now too, which is cool
Hey remember a few pages ago when everyone was complaining that they weren’t doing any marketing? And now we have steady teases, announcements, cohesive music videos and an intentional roll out?
Just gonna say, I’m looking forward to the album, but it’s funny **to me** that they don’t want to be a nostalgia act and called the album 152.
152 has been displayed on every record they’ve ever made. Doesn’t really read nostalgia to me. Just something they’ve always done.
Fair, I just tie it to the past more than anything though for some reason. And it doesn’t bother me/matter, just found it to be humorous.
Happy for DJ (met him before through mutual friends - super cool dude) and despite my feelings about the video - I just found out my friend Dan edited it so that’s cool too!
