I've got long hair and I love it... but I look in the mirror at that hair line and think, "yeah, probably don't have much longer that I can rock this," lol.
my hair line is fine for now but you never know so I’m enjoying my hair while I’ve got it lol (my brother that’s two years older than me finally went full bald this year)
I miss having long hair, but at the same time it's so nice to have short hair so it's not getting in my face, faster showers, easier to put in a hat, less hot, etc
shaved my head recently and the shorter showers alone are worth it. the tradeoff being beanies are essential cos jesus christ you get cold quick
My hair has been cut once since the pandemic started. I had short hair and now I have pretty long hair. The cut I had was a trim 45 minutes before my wedding last year. Keeping thinking about cutting it all off. I tie it up all of the time anyway.
If anyone at all took that comment seriously based on how we've been talking about New Again in here then we've got bigger problems than how you view me.
I’ve had super long hair twice and then once I cut it I’m like why the fuck did I have long hair?? It’s so much easier with short hair and I think it looks better on me.
Also I wash my hair 2-3 times a week (as you should) and I like taking longer showers on my days off anyway so it’s fine
Yeah I never realized that you're not supposed to wash it daily until I met my hair stylist fiance. My hair used to get so greasy the day after a shower, but now it's all calmed down I like long showers too but our water heater fucking sucks so I always end up with cold water by the end haha
I wish I could wash mine less as 2/3 days is the longest time I can go without doing that, but my seborrheic dermatitis had other plans. Thank god for hats and hair accessories when it gets greasy
I remember when I was born the doctors were having so much trouble figuring out if I was a human because of how disgustingly deformed I am that they almost categorized me as a new species
The worst about having long hair for years and cutting it is the inability I have to go through the awkward growing phase again
If my hair starts hitting the top of my ears, that’s too long for me. I do one and a half on back and sides and a 2 on top. Keep it simple and clean.
I had just gotten my haircut a few weeks/a month or so before the world shut down, and didn't get a haircut after that for about 19 months. It was the longest my hair had ever been. On one hand I liked it/my hair is nice and thick and wavy/curly when it gets long. On the other hand, it gets in the way of everything. And with the combo of my pandemic weight gain and glasses, I don't think I pulled off the look very well. My typical patter is to go anywhere 3-6 months between cuts. Usually get a 4 on the sides faded into a little bit longer on the top, like 6 or little less. I also used to wash my hair every day but learned years ago you're not supposed to do that so I usually do twice week. When it got super long during the pandemic, I was washing probably every other day just because at that length it was hard to not have to wash it haha
I get a haircut probably once every month. I comb my hair back, so if it starts getting too flat up top, that's when I know my hair's too long and it's time to go. Then I usually procrastinate for another week or so. It's harder getting haircuts lately cause I try to do that kind of stuff after work, but where I go closes at 5PM, so it's hit or miss whether I get there in time or not. I don't like making a special trip on a weekend, honestly.
