This reminds me of New Again insofar as it’s good TBS material, which has been a very hit-or-miss prospect for every post-New Again album. It also does insofar as making that comparison will annoy those who cartoonishly loathe that fairly straightforward album.
I remember some people discovering through social media that TBS was working with that producer, and then reacting pretty poorly, lol. But, this song is exactly what I hoped working with someone like that would mean.
Y’know what TBS album I really like? N3w 4g41n. So glad that N*w Ag*in exists so that I can forever have it in my listening rotation.
Ronthony Mcdonald can be funny sometimes even tho i never agree with his opinions on stuff, don't really get the wild hatred some people have for the guy but thank you officer for getting us back on track with what really important: New Again being good
For real on Straylight. I didn't realise people slept on them, but the music mostly stands up so well still. If you do nothing else, just listen to Hands In The Sky, because it's super accessible, powerful, and fucking rad. If you liked Brand New then that song is going to hit you in the same way.
this is the only thread that can turn a new song into a conversation about another band and an album that came out 2008. i hate it and love it here all at the same time.
I'm glad I gave ya'll so much comedic material lmao, I'm seeing them at Sad Summer coming up and saw them with 3rd Eye Blind not too long ago. But when they play this song I'm just going to sing are we human or are we dancer ;). Can't wait! (First time seeing hot mully.)
Song is interesting. I'm excited to listen a bit more. Tidal Wave never caught on with me, but I'm looking forward to new stuff.
that first Straylight album is fucking unbelievable, some borderline magic on there. Abendigo is also sick
